80F2264E-F37D-41FA-8DB6-94F92BFE88A5.jpeg I do not believe anyone can call themselves a true car guy if they don’t remember where their car hit 100,000 miles.

I did an extra loop through the neighborhood and timed this perfect. I took this photo in my garage!

I literally received new from TascaParts calipers for the rear of this car (anyone remember my fiasco with rear brakes after VIR last month?) and installed those at this mark.

This car has had a hard life. It’s first 20,000 were under the care of the Hertz rental fleet in the Pittsburgh area and I bought it in Leesburg, VA, not even knowing autocross or hpde track days were things really. I began my abusive career there at about 50,000 miles in April 2016 with an autocross school and an HPDE1 at Carolina Motorsports Park.

Thought I’d share!

Back in the day many yrs ago 100k would spell the end or near end of a car's life..that's why the speedo/collector measures wouldn't go passed 100K...Today's motors can give you 200K miles or more if you take care of them....My Boss is still a rookie with under 32K..........;)

That’s great, congratulations! Send me a conversation with your mailing address and what size t-shirt you wear and I’ll send you one.

Yep. 100K was the limit. If you lived in the rust belt you Hoped the body held up to make it to 100K. Cars were warranties for 12 months or 12k miles and many did not make it to That mark.

Today....She is just barely broke in.

Rich....Did I forget to mention Both of my Mustangs are at the 100k mark? But my camera is broke so no pics. Trust me.
