I'd prefer the car to be even smaller, like SN95 or Fox body small. Though I think it would be tough to fit the coyote in with the space needed for front suspension.

It has been done in the Fox body, but there is less room in the fenders, too.

I know it's been 'done', but not with clearance to have a decent workable suspension, or factory type stamped steel K, electronics, etc. Looking at the S550 engine bay, doesn't it look cramped already even with a smaller air box and re-shaped fusebox cover?

Yup. But if you think that is bad just look at the 370Z! They don't want you having room to work on it without specialized tools and a lift. It's job security for their lousy techs.
