    Don't think so.

Yuck. Lame no matter what kind of transmission it's controlling. Or what mfr's car it's in.

Guess this announcement explains why Mustang6G is running so poorly today.

So far the only concern I have is the rear seat delete only comes with the Carbon Track Package, which makes me think the GT4 like wing and likely the carbon rims with PSC2s, will bump up the price a healthy amount for those that want to run this on a road course? Be nice with those monster 16.5 inch front rotors to be able to get a less pricey track set-up, but then it appears they may differentiate one as the GT 500 and the other as a GT 500 R - following the GT 350 dual classifications?

...............but I absolutely love the intimidating, aggressive look!!

Why would the new GT500 be offered without a manual??

Honestly, it won't please the "purists" but a DCT will not only shift faster than a manual transmission, but will also easier to drive.

Look of the car is growing on me. Waiting to see power and weight figures. Won't be able to afford one, in any scenario.

The GT350 is still available for those wanting a manual. There's no denying a DCT is faster on track and almost all professional race cars have some sort of DCT or sequential trans. This transition has been going on for over a decade so it's not new.

The GT500 has paddle shifters and manual mode so you still have control of shift points. The only time I use my DCT in auto is on the fwy or on track, on the street it's sport mode in manual.

This time around, and if I buy one, it won't be a first year car and will be purchased used. Probably someone's else's garage queen that already took a 20-30% depreciation hit.

Including a manual transmission would have at least entailed a second set of certification costs.

A GT350 may be your best deal once the GT500 comes out................

Actually it might help the resale on all the GT 350s and Boss 302s , since there is definitely a solid group of manual diehards that those cars could appeal even stronger to in the years to come.

Just noticed in the video that it has an electronic parking brake. Not sure I like those. And how will it do J-turns?!?

I'd be willing to give up my convictions on that note. Getting older changes ones ideals.

Oh, the taxes I would owe if I pulled the trigger on one...bad enough when I look at what a GT350R would cost me in pre-tax dollars in CA. :(

I think they can keep the grill & bumper as is but just paint the bumper part in body color.

May try some Photoshop on it to see how it looks...
