Looks like no availability around Memorial Day for Laguna Seca.

Hooked on Driving has a Laguna Seca day almost every month *but* May. All 90dB.

I just did a 92db day at Laguna without problems. With the proper work 92db can be achieved. I didn't get a sound reading to see if I could have made 90db.

Man, if I can make 90 DB I feel like anybody can.


The mufflers I used are 3" all the way through and flow plenty of air. They are also super quiet.
I'm going to try to pass without my added on Trombone pipe, and I think I can, but even if it's needed, it's a pretty simple solution.

Laguna Seca is fun to include. More important for members coming from afar since it's my closest track not a must. But if it could be the first or last day that would make it easy to skip for those that can't make sound or don't want to try it. Fabman has me thinking l could pass at 90db and if I can pass at 90db with long tubes, open air filter, and a blower it should be possible for most with the right work. Laguna Pipes go a long way.

Its a Saturday, it's not hot, and we can all celebrate our tax returns by having some fun.
Plus, it's Monterey, so it makes a nice little weekend getaway for you and your honey. 8)

I went through last month and added all the track organizations I could think of to a Google calendar. I'll parse it later and look for consecutive days and the like and post it up here. I'll also share the Google calendar link when I'm near a computer later today or tomorrow.

In other news I just bought a new truck, so my plan is to hit all California tracks this year since I have a reliable tow rig now!

I'm also thinking of doing a track tour with a couple friends towards the end of the year for my 30th birthday. AZ guys, that most likely means I'm coming your way.

I plan on attending all the HOD events at Laguna Seca this year, so I will be there.
I'm not sure if my terminology is correct, but I took the little "baffles" out of the two front pipes that exit before the rear tires and have run over 25 events at Laguna without ever breaking the 90 db sound limit. If your car doesn't have headers, which we really cannot do in CA, it should pass sound with or without baffles. If you have headers, then you will probably have problems.

Are you still running the stock axle backs? I have GT500 axle backs on my Boss and was wondering if I would have to put my baffles back in.

Hey guys, a fellow on a FB NorCal track group posted this. Hope it helps. (His name is Gabriel) maybe some of you know him.

Hey folks, I got tired of flipping from site to site to see what events are upcoming, so I created a consolidated google calendar that lists 2017 track days for Nor Cal and some for So Cal. So far it lists events for OnGrid, TrackMasters, SpeedVentures, SpeedSF, NCRC, CFRA, and Exclusive Track Days. I'm planning to add all of the California HOD events as well.

If anyone has an organization's events they'd like added just list the name of the group in the comments and I'll add them. Feel free to share this post or the calendar itself with friends.
