Were definitely carrying some good speed into/through the turns and sucking them up in the braking zones on a few occasions there. Here's a couple of videos from an SVRA event we did at Sebring Feb 20-21
FunksoulJon you did a good job critiquing yourself. You could have gotten on the throttle a bit sooner, but you already figured that out. Autocross videos often cause folks to tell others they are too far from the cones , and that gives that appearance in your video, but I found this is a tough call , because often it has more to do with the placement of the camera and not where the car actually is situated. Super serious Autocrossers will place a camera on the side of the car just to get a sense of the true position of their machine. We do not have a side camera on the EVO 9 my son and I drive -- I guess that drops us to just serious, ha.
HPR is a really fun track - I was only able to get a ride along before we moved away. I spent a lot of time at Pueblo because it was the main option back when I lived out there. HPR wasn't built yet and I never made it out to PPIR to do their roval. Pueblo's surface is rough, and that last turn on to the main straight can bite you hard, so be careful. I've seen a couple people get it wrong and end up hitting the inside wall. It's always fun sliding through the staging lanes of the drag strip getting back on the power (unless they've changed it since I drove it).
Had some fun at High Plains Raceway on 20JUN21. Session 3 that got me moved up to HPDE 2. Getting more and more comfortable with the car completely stock. Gotta work on carrying speed coming off the Apex, going deeper into corners on this track and video footage..lol. Next stop Pueblo Motorsport Park. I might think of getting better tires and lighter wheels after that event. All critques are welcomed.
All tracks are fun and a challenge to conquer...some you might..some you never will......but that's what keep you going..................race on!!!!!!!!!!!!!HPR is a really fun track
