You should remove the clutch spring now and don't wait. It's the only known way to fix the pedal sticking and the clutch will feel more like stock with better feel.

also makes the clutch much smoother and easier to drive
 
Guess that's what I'll play with tomorrow, adjust the MGW and remove the pedal spring... In the meantime, here are a couple of pictures of the clutch and pressure plate.


I don't know if you can tell, but this piece was broken in two places, and the broken part was pretty loose and could be moved easily.

The broken part is also nicely heat treated :p

The broken part was draggin on the inner diameter of the pressure plate.
