At the beginning of Feb I joined some good track buddies (Riser Harness Ford racing) to run their recently acquired Boss 302S in the WRL season opener at Eagles Canyon Raceway in TX. Thats me on the right as we got on grid for sunday.

Some here may recognize the car from BaT last fall, it was prepped by Kohr the last couple of years and came to us very nicely setup. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2...OzeF1uHGSrL3BuNxwg_aem_yzmzmYYDD7dOq_o8tOagNw
We did have a thrash to replace the transmission the week before the race after 3rd gear synchro left the chat during testing - thanks Summit for having the needed Tremec on the shelf in Arlington.

After nervously making it through tech on thursday, we got to test and qualify on Friday.

We were not the fastest on track or in the pits, but all 4 of us got to drive, race, (spin occasionally) and survive without leaving a scratch on the car. The Boss was a tank, ran cool and consistent through the often cold, damp and slick track without a complaint. We placed 5th in the 8hr on saturday, and 6th in the 7hr on sunday. Moving up several places each day with reliability and consistency. What an experience! My first wheel to wheel driving and showed me I have lots to learn about racecraft. Look for us at another race soon later this summer.
