What FP350S parts do you want from Ford Performance?

I think we can put the rumor to rest as to the FP350S having GT4 type rear controller arms.

First of all, the IRS sub frame Ford Engineering Part number from the BOM is FR3V-5K067-CD. The Ford Service Part Number for that is FR3Z-5035-D. Levittown Ford has it for $1,057.39 so it has been released. I can’t find a cross reference for use in any other Mustang. Unfortunately can’t see as of when it was released date wise.

The GT350 and GT350R both use FR3Z-5035-E.

Since it’s a Ford Part Number and not Ford Performance, I don’t believe that it’s the FP one with aluminum bushing already installed.

On the rear lower controller arms, the Engineering Part number for the left side from the BOM is FR3C-5K652-AD – a new part and not yet in the Ford System – or – not yet released.

On the rear lower controller arms, the Engineering Part number for the right side from the BOM is FR3C-5K651-AD – a new part and not yet in the Ford System – or – not yet released.

Since both are Ford Part Numbers, I think that these parts will be high volume parts and not just 50 being produced for the FP350S. Possibly 2019 GT500 parts?

These pictures are from the video that American Muscle made:

First one is from the back while a FP350S was up on the rack. Looks like an aluminum casting to me.

This next one is a little blurry but you can clearly see the lower spring perch. BTW, you can also make out the 2pc drive shaft. You can see the middle bearing / holder

So the new IRS is new and so are the controller arms. Question is what did they change? Obviously must be good changes or else they wouldn't have put them into the 350S

I think I can confirm that the IRS sub frame is for the 2019. If you go to parts.ford.com and do a search on part number – FR3Z-5035-D, it comes back with the following text that goes with the part number:

Usage: 07/13/2015 - 06/18/2019, Mustang, 6 Spd Man Trans-3160, Shelby Version

Notice the date – 06/18/2019. I guess question is 2019 GT350 or GT500?

BTW, you won’t see the description of the part unless you enter a vin. I put in my 2017 GT350. Search catalog, then by vin, then by the part number

It’s also interesting to play with the revisions.

FR3Z-5035-A - replaced by FR3Z-5035-E which is the current GT350/R sub frame
FR3Z-5035-B - replaced by FR3Z-5035-J which is for the 6R80 6sp Auto
FR3Z-5035-C - replaced by FR3Z-5035-F which is for the MT82 6sp Man
FR3Z-5035-D – this new one
FR3Z-5035-E - current GT350/R
FR3Z-5035-F – current for MT82 6sp Man
FR3Z-5035-G - replaced by FR3Z-5035-F which is for the MT82 6sp Man
FR3Z-5035-H – doesn’t exist
FR3Z-5035-I – doesn’t exist
FR3Z-5035-J – current for 6R80 6sp Auto
FR3Z-5035-K – replaced by FR3Z-5035-F which is for the MT82 6sp Man

I guess interesting for us GT350/R guys is that the IRS sub frame changed from
FR3Z-5035-A --> FR3Z-5035-E - what was changed? who knows
No reference (yet) that FR3Z-5035-E was replaced by FR3Z-5035-D

I’ve personally been through this.
The only difference between IRS cradles are the GT350/R has the rivnuts and holes for the Magneride brackets.
The holes are there for the brackets on all IRS cradles but the rivnuts are not.

The FP350s uses cast aluminum production type arms.
The GT4 uses Multimatic billet aluminum arms.

The FP350s arms most likely come fitted with cortex monoballs.

I’ve seen both the GT4 and FP350s both up on lifts and under both cars.

In the background you’ll see the complete IRS assembly from the FP350s.

Nice photos. Is that the rear tow hook? If so it bolts on?

Two interesting implications. First that it will be a Ford Part available through the dealer, lists Ford Dealer as source. Second, it’s hard for me to believe that they would make the effort to make it a Ford Part if there was not a larger install base then just 50 FP350S’s. Also the file name on the BOM (M-FP500-FP350S_Web_BOM_7-11-2018.pdf) tells me that either it will become a standard part on the new GT500 or something else is up their sleeve like a FP500. The cost to manufacture and stock a Ford part doesn’t make any sense for 50 FP350S’s

FP500 is a Ford base part number. Same as M-6010-XX or M-6049-XX Nothing to do with GT500.
