Yep...you are correct Norm. This link is the only discussion I could find from Ford why Ford decided to go with the UDUD crank configuration as opposed to the more common UDDU configuration found on cars such as Porsche, Ferrari. Seems there were engineering trade-offs and Ford did not make this decision willy-nilly.Didn't they also have to put a lot of extra effort into it because it wasn't a normal 0-180-180-0 FPC?
