I've always been scared of this type of mod. I don't know how well I could trust a welded wheel like that. I've seen good quality wheels crack and break on simple potholes and on track in certain situations. I'd assume a weld would be a weak point on any wheel. (I'm no engineering, just my gut instinct). Although I like the idea of being able to go wider and keep an OEM look...
