I keep reading this post because it's one of the funniest we have, but I still keep forgeting to take mine off. I will put a reminder in my phone, oh wait battery just ran out on the phone. Still won't remember to take them off :)

Seriously??? The post you refer seems as if it were written by a juvenile semi-illterate retard. If the battery is dead on the phone then just give it back to your Mother. She can tell you what to do with it.
 
Not to revive this thread, but my 2013 has the same little deflectors. No track use yet, but impressively aggressive street / highway use without the restrictor plates (and the TK most days). I am worried about the tires if the deflectors come off, so they'll probably stay on and just be replaced as needed.

the tires are not harmed by taking them off. I have had mine off for over 5000 miles and my tires are in good order.
