I ran square 9.5s with stock suspension and the car overrotated like crazy. It's drivable but slower IMO (on track). I have been running 18 x 10.5 rear and 18 x 9.5 fronts with the FRPP front bar in the middle setting and it's totally neutral. I'm guessing if I went full stiff on the front bar and pulled the rear bar I'd be able to elminate or more than eliminate the oversteer on a square setup. Bottom line if you're going with the square setup you'll likely want to make some swaybar and/or damper adjustment to dial back the oversteer.

Thanks for all the help guys!

..looks like I may end up with forgestar 18x9 and 18x10 if they are in stock, if not Ill have to wait and order them and then ill go 18x9.5 and 18x10.5

What tires were you running again Gary?

302 R wheels are 18x10 and don't require spacers, 302S wheels are 19x9F and 19x10R and also don't need spacers.
Steve

There are tow types of 302S wheels. The wheels that come with the car are 19" and are the stock Laguna wheels. There are also FRPP wheels which are 18"x 9.5" on all four corners.

The FRPP 18"x10" rims are drilled for larger studs and require special wheel nuts
The FRPP 18"x9.5" rims use the stock wheel nuts
Neither wheel requires spacers.

The 302R BBS wheels (M-1007-R1810) are drilled for 5/8 studs and have a racing lug nut bevel of 45 degrees. A regular wheel lug nut has a 60 degree bevel or cone angle. Racing wheels typically have a 45 degree cone angle.

The BBS wheels can be used with ½ inch studs and the appropriate lug nut. The lug nuts used on the 302R are made by Allstar Performance, part number ALL44102. The lug nuts are sold in sets of 10. Summit Racing has them for $9.99 / set. These lug nuts have a ½” – 20 threads per inch, just like the stock studs. The lug nuts are open ended and are bright plated zinc finished. A 1” socket is used to tighten these lug nuts.

Without a wheel spacer on my LS, the front wheel clearance between the edge of the BBS rim and the strut is approximately ¼”. Clearance with the stock LS wheels is about ½ “. So a ¼” wheel spacer comes close to restoring the stock clearance on a Boss LS. I would suspect it is similar on a non-LS Boss since the front wheel offsets are the same as the Boss LS

Are you using these wheels on your LS? Any issues using those lug nuts with the 1/2" studs? Do you have any photos?

Here's a link to the lug nuts.

Yes, these are my track wheels.

With a 1/4" wheel spacer the stock wheel studs are a thread or two too short. Not an issue if you swap the stock studs for the ARP or FRRP studs.

The only issue I had with the lug nuts was having to buy a 1 inch deep socket for the tool box.

I do have pictures on my home computer, but I am working on an out of the country temp assignment for the next 5 months with no access to those files. :-[

Thanks. I'm running a staggered setup so I would run the 9.5" 302S BBS wheels up front so I can eliminate the spacer and then the 302R wheels in the back.
