I'm looking at the MM K-member too. However it appears that the cross brace uses a different mounting to the k-member versus stock, which will not allow us to retain the transmission air scoop.

I've asked MM if they have any plans to provision for this........

Got an email back from MM:
"We have not discussed this issue yet. I'll have to get back to you once we decide what our plan is."

This winter season took a path I wouldn't have anticipated but it's really working out for the best. It's also always easy to become blind-sighted and focus on the things that might make the car 'faster' and ignore the stuff that makes the car (and track weekends) better.

New Tow Rig. 2015 F-350 6.7L Diesel

Fix the road rash from Road Atlanta in October.

Tiger Racing Hood.
302S bumper bar.

Probably a wireless remote winch for the trailer.

Might get a couple of other things in but those are the things that are for sure. They're heavy hitters too, so we'll see where the budget ends up.

6.7L Diesel, me likey!

Yeah, it's a completely different world from the '03 F-350 V10. At 860 ft-lbs, it's over 2x the torque straight off the dealer lot with a warranty. Yes, please!

Main items are cage and halo seat. Addressing a few other small items, too.

Update:

-Picked up a Sparco Evo II seat (I know, not a halo seat but it fits me really well and is FIA rated), Watson Racing seat mount, and Sparco sliders. The seat feels great and this setup should be so much better than my Corbeau FX1 Pro that was bottom mounted.
-FIA G-Force camlock harness
-Window net and right side net
-Dash is out of the car. Still need to pull the heater core, finish scraping seam sealer, and prep the interior for paint. Car probably won't go to the cage builder until the first of next year. First race is end of March so I have some time.

Sounds like things are moving right along! :)
When you get to the heater core/AC disconnects at the firewall, you can use an open-end wrench to compress the releases on the fittings. Helps to have a second pair of hands to pull them free, though. Might be easier with the non-boss manifold.
Also I used a brass "Sharkbite" reducer to bridge the coolant lines behind the manifold, since the hoses are two different IDs on left vs. right sides. I'll see if I can find the PN for the one I used. It was about $7 at Home Depot, plus a couple hose clamps for extra insurance. No leaks!

Thanks for the tips!!

Yeah I hadn't quite figured out my plan to bridge the coolant lines so I'll go with what you've already done. I'm planning to follow your path on the dash cage and cross bar as well. I'll have my cage tied into the factory piece so I don't have to make new steering column mounts and fit the dash to a bare bar.

Torn on interior color. Will either go white or a flat gray...

The one thing I will say about retaining the factory dash structure is that it is heavy. I'll bet you could save another 25-30 lbs by ditching that for a cage-bar and fabbing supports. I don't regret keeping it, however, and it certainly makes the dash easier to mount back on. Having the OEM appearance of the dash was a big deal for me.

Both good choices on interior color. Flat gray will hide more of the dirt and tire particles that will inevitably collect inside the car.

Here are the Sharkbite fittings, I'll confirm which one I used when I get home tonight. I just bought both because they were cheap.

Keeping the OEM look of the dash is a definite priority for me, too. And I just don't think it's worth the headache for me at this point. Even once you get the steering column brackets on you would have to fab up mounts for the rest of the dash mounting points. Meh.

Me?? Getting dirt in the car?? ::) LOL... Flat gray is the top choice right now. Should compliment the white/black color scheme nicely. I considered spraying the interior myself but have decided to have it professionally sprayed.

600/375. They're Eibach springs. Mm does either Eibach or Hypercoil depending on the rate and weight of the car. Can't wait to get them on, but won't be able to try them until March. At the season finale for me at least at VIR with a few of the gang. It's cold so big power will be made, grip? That's another question.

Those are beautiful and that strut body is a work of art. Are those the same camber plates used by Cortex Racing on their coilovers? I have a set of those coming and they look just like yours from what pics I've seen.

Also, how much lighter are these vs. a typical S197 stock setup?

Doesn't Cortex use the ground control coilovers?
I don't think so. They use in order of costs: Koni, JRi, Penske and Ohlins.

I think he meant the CG camber plates. I remember seeing some cortex kits using the CG plates, not sure if they manufacture their own camber plates now.
