That rack on the trunk lid can't hold a box of tampons.

Okay, now that I got that out of my system, I'll behave.

I never like comparing naturally aspirated cars against forced induction cars. There's just such a huge disparity in power usually that it seems pointless to me, even if both are meant to be track day cars. When Ford puts out a GT500 capable of handling that has forced induction, then I'd say they're comparable. As it is, I'd pit the ZL1 against the previous GT500 to compare and the naturally aspirated 1LE or Z28 against the GT350 to compare. These days you have to throw aero considerations in on top of that. Aerodynamics on cars are making such huge leaps and bounds that comparison is impossible it seems.

As it is, no direct competitors ever come out at the same time it seems like. If Ford and GM simultaneously built and released naturally aspirated or supercharged track cars, that would be the most equal comparison. Sometimes I wonder if Ford and GM execs aren't talking to each other saying "all right, we just put out the GT350, now it's your turn and we'll wait" and vice versa just to boost sales of both *tightens tinfoil hat*.

Nobody cares about Dodge because it's a battleship anchor.

And for crying out loud Ford, build me a real two seat Corvette competitor! TAKE MY MONEY.

    Sorry, slightly off topic rant.

They did. The only problem is that they want ALL your money for it. ;)

We don't treat much as off topic here. :D

Sure, everyone getting one has some left...
Unless I'd live in it, I'd also have the problem of only having half a house left. And that would be the half that my wife wouldn't let me back in.

Instructed a guy at Mosport today with a 2017 NA SS 1LE. CAI, magnetic-ride dampers, track-focussed options. Impressive piece. Not close to a 350R (with a 58 on the side ) BUT heaps better than a 2015-2017 5.0L PP.

It probably should get most of the credit for the engine, suspension and tire upgrades on the 2018 5.0 PP.

The GT350R with 58 on the side is probably @Black Boss

Probably right about that. When manufacturers compete, consumers win!

There's wasn't much competition in the late 70's and entire 80's. Ford showed a spark in the 90's. After that things started heating up to where we are at today Now everybody is offering something that's wide open and FAST!
