The halo doesn’t really mess up my side vision to be honest, i was expecting it to be much worse. And the rear quarter windows are pretty useless on the Mustang anyway

What i did on my car in Europe with the same seats is swap them left and right when it’s on the road (halo’s forbidden in Germany) and then swap back when I hit the track. But I have more room to access the bolts in my track car in Europe as it’s fully stripped out and the center tunnel is a lot more shallow.

While the world is going crazy, and probably rightfully so, I took some time to cut up my brand new Trufiber carbon bonnet and fit Trackspec's Focus / Fiesta hood vents. It will get painted and clearcoated to fit the rest of the car, but in the meantime, it's sitting pretty in the basement :)

Definitely a very good look and good posting , as likely there will be others wanting to take some of the down time to work on race car projects. A small silver lining for things some may have not had the time to get accomplished of late.

Got the car back and did some work. Fitted the hood, the trunk, transfered the wing over, closed off the airbox, added a carbon cover around the fusebox to protect the connectors from the rain, transfered all the wiper washing system over, adjusted the trunk, hood, front passenger fender and passenger door gaps so now it's straight and nice.

Hood needs a clearcoat and buff and polish so it will come off again. It now needs an alignment and to be driven :)

No recent posts as i’ve been simply driving the car since the last upgrades.

however, my wife and I did a trackday a few weeks ago, she drove on Saturday, i took the wheel on Sunday… for a very brief time :(

i just picked it up from the dealership after having the engine replaced under warranty. An 8000rpm oil pump failure made abit of a mess, thankfully Ford did the right thing and provided a gen 2 Voodoo under full warranty.

now back to breaking it in, and hopefully getting a trackday before the snow here in Michigan.

Plenty of things arrived this winter, but I'm still waiting on new caliper piston seals to repaint my calipers.

Ford Performance upgrade billet oil pump / gerotor and GT500 crank sprocket (both recommended by my engine designer for race applications so I don't end up with a 3rd block ...)

I also got the Archetype Racing oil balancing lines for my engine. Got some new paint for my calipers (getting rid of the yellow, going with a bronze low gloss finish this time). I need to order a set of front Girodiscs which I haven't done yet.

And yesterday I received a few bits of unobtanium ...
GT4 dive planes / center hood vent / camber plates from Multimatic.

The size of the hood vent is hard to judge until you my giant hand looking very small next to it...

Anyway, some goodies for this year. Hopefully I can get all this on the car in May and have some time this summer / fall for some trackdays. Work has been crazy busy (got a new position at Ford with more responsibilities on Ford Performance programs), and my Cuda project is taking most of my spare time as well!
I also need to fill up my bank account again, this has drained it quite a bit!

But, it's nice to have the car out of winter storage and be able to drive it into work from time to time, running into one of its sisters the other day :)

OooOoh. Please share info on those camber plates if you’re able? 😁

Not much to share honestly... they are impossible to get, Multimatic doesn't even really list a part number for it. They cost an arm and a leg and it took me 4 years to find how to purchase a set (they are made to order only), and I still have to figure out if they fit the stock dampers or if it means taking the Visa out for another 15K in Multimatic coilovers...

Meanwhile, I've put the dive planes and center hood vent on the car and given it a good clean. I'll probably end up getting an Archetype Racing splitter to match the dive planes which currently extend beyon my R splitter. But for now, that'll do.

I sold my complete set of GT4 DSSV to PF Racing. That would have been a nice setup for you. Working on my car.

Interesting, I had my Mach 1 very close to that with lightweight Apex wheels, carbon fiber hood, x pipe, and rear seat delete, etc. and it weighed less to start out with, so you have gotten out some hidden fat quite well.
