    Bad Coyote piston. Why?

The dead cat is probably due to a problem with the O2 sensor and would most likely be due to heat. Since the O2 sensor is part of your wideband setup its critical in keeping your engine alive and running well. I once had a bad sensor and the heat it caused, burnt a hole in my header!!!

    Bad Coyote piston. Why?

Hmm.... I would guess it had more to do with the O2 sensors then the cats. DO NOT TRACK the car if your O2 sensors are reading funny or sending codes. Logging the car before a event is always a good idea. My O2 sensors tend to die after a season or two, always keep extras in my track bag.

S197 3V Change final drive on stock tune

If you have a SCT device to put back the OEM tune then you can change the ratio. Basically whom ever puts the OEM tune in can change the ratio.

Oil pressure dropping to critical levels under hard braking (Headscratcher)

I would just add that even getting 75 psi at the track on a Coyote is RED ALERT time.

    S197 help/suggestions

The Hoosier official tire pressures are a little bit nuts for me. Totally agree with the above with 32 hot as the max pressure I would shoot for. If you get over 35psi then you know your going to go slow. My ideal hot psi is 32F/30R for the R7's. Dunlop slicks like 30F/28R

    S197 help/suggestions

If not going for a Watts.... then I would keep the original PB brackets. Ford did do a lot of things right on these cars.edit... I guess I 3rd it!

    S197 help/suggestions

Just think, with a some good suspension, brake and engine mods, the S197 can keep up to Porsche GT4's that are also race prepped. Not the Clubsports though... thats in a whole different category.... But then again, for the price of a clubsport you could buy/prep/race a 1/2 dozen S197 cars...
