Lol oh no. It happened to me literally 2 weeks ago. Prepping for an upcoming track day and went for a spark plug change hoping to solve a P0308 code. My mechanic did compression test and it came back low.
I know I’m not going to build it myself. I already have the build sheet made and have been...
Tell me about it. My mechanic gave me a quote and that night I watched several hours of videos on how to build a coyote lol. Helps if you have local car friends who are knowledgeable and have the garage space. Several cases of beer and a third (and fourth) hand for engine swap would be a great...
Sorry to hear that. I think I saw you post in one of the FB groups about this.
Mine just went out. Spent money on MCS and a lot of winter upgrades to find out I need an engine rebuild smh.
Gen 3 short block is the way. Really you could just replace the short block but it’s one of those things...
You and I are both in the market lol. I saw your post on M6G a couple days ago. This is what I have planned after talking to a few nice folks on here and Shaun at AED.

I’m just thinking with the labor cost, I might as well get a Gen 3 block
I asked him a few hours ago and he said not yet but based on the low compression and the drops of oil on the cylinder he is pretty sure there is a leak from the ring land. When this happened did you do a complete overhaul or just fixed that one cylinder?
Thanks for the reply. All info is much appreciated. You are right, I shouldn't have continued to drive. I think emotions got the best of me to be honest. Had such great weekend finally finding my groove, no traffic on track, driving 16 hours from MD, and the car still feeling fine, I...
