  1. Rear differential options

Bingo, that makes sense. Detroit Locker and support for the carrier bearings should be bullet proof for an 8.8 with up to 450-500 hp. Your clutch is going long before that rear end.Mike
  2. Spring Rates ???

    And the 5300-T's?(crickets chirping)Mike
  3. Ford Racing Suspension Upgrades

So, we're supposed to buy these M-5300-T's when Ford won't put the spring rates on their spec sheets for these, on web site or in the catalog. All we're buying is "harsher ride" and a lower car? I can get that by cutting off 1/4 of a coil.Anybody got the specs on the rates? Eibach provides...
  4. Camber Plates vs Camber Bolts

I like the idea of the bolts as they are easier to return to original, easier to install and cheaper. I don't need much additional camber.Where did you guys get them?Mike
  5. Stripes

As they did back in the day. I hate my non relective '12 stripes. If I knew I could get the right color match for the LS, I'd consider replacing them.Mike
  6. Borla Atak 11791 best price

Summit: $800 plus. That's cheaper? I think he asked for accurate info, not a quess. Waste of time. ours- not yours.Mike
  7. Brake/Clutch fluid resouvior.

Got to check mine, hadn't noticed anything prior. If Ford has a systemic leak of corrosive fluid like this, they are subject to getting a recall directive courtesy of the EPA. Very interested in the dealer response.Mike
  8. Something I learned on engine compression

I'd say that your motor is healthy based on those values. My '69 Boss with 10.5:1, stock cam and about 25,000 miles on the motor gets 170-175. That is above the theoretical value and it leaks down in the 10% range so there is some blow by (mostly rings). Apparently, even at cranking speed, it...
  9. Something I learned on engine compression

Good info on the compression testing on these motors. I guess I need to start looking for a new set up.I don't think it is intended that the formula is used to calculate the expected psi from a compression test knowing the nominal compression ratio (mechanical compression, calculated by...
  10. Need help here!

You're right, it is a big deal. One way or the other you'll need to get it replaced or you'll look at every time you get in the car.Mike
  11. 0003

Welcome aboard.Agree about the balance of handling, braking and power. I have a friend with a '13 and a Shelby GT500. He said if he had to choose (and he doesn't), he'd keep the Boss over the Shelby. That is pretty high praise, I'd say.Do a track day to really find out how balanced and...
  12. Buckle Up...

Bad Ass, Sweet Ass? You got a problem and should seek professional help.
  13. 2012 Boss drive line being modified results.

Take a breath man, too much drama. Like trying to read the transcript of three speed freaks discussing a video game. Too much work.
  14. Louvers

Silverhorse. Saw some GTHG and the match was excellent on that difficult color.Mike
