I want to get started in Time Trials in my GT350. Thoughts on my particular setup and SCCA vs NASA?

Supercar3 is slightly slower than cup2 but at a fraction of the cost. 3R same mod factor than hoosier so not worth it and also kind of not ideal in heavy traffic time trials. (Take long time to warm up)Plenty plof choices for 200tw Yoko only with 18"wheels CRS great option. Rival 1.5 Falken...

I want to get started in Time Trials in my GT350. Thoughts on my particular setup and SCCA vs NASA?

I run NASA. You are between tt2 and tr3 depending mainly on weigh and tire. It is intimidating to begin with. But after you figure out 2 things is pretty straight forward and an objective way to measure performance. Scca is more subjective IMO. And i dont like honestly. Nasa you have freedom...

    coolers for road racing?

You can definitely box with AC. Just slighty more tricky with the extra tubing. Mine was boxed like that before removing the AC. If easier you can contact me on instagram www.instagram.com/italian_stangPs. U rarely use the 8th.on track If money is to be considered i would do this (as order of...

    coolers for road racing?

10 speed has the thermostat inside the pan. Not outside. If you need a bypass I make one :) Just cover the inlet of the trans cooler while driving around. (Unless you are in a 10f ambient where then i dont suggest the bypass ) In my 10speed i use a 650setrab. You NEED a big one. Series 1 is...

    10R80 Automatic Trans Cooling Questions

No. At least not only. You already have a cooler that works well. I forgot to answer you. Sorry You can get my trans thermostat bypass. I think will fix 90% ot your problem. But it is never been tested on a dark horse yet. Also the dark horse has a different system than previous one...

Comment by 'flyhalf' on the Lap time of '1:21.521' at the track 'Willow Springs Raceway'

I need to update the builf thread. I'll try to put some pics our today. Compare to 2 years ago my top speeds are down by 4 or 5 mph But 2 years ago I had a way less efficient splitter and wing at 3deg.To balance my actual splitter I need the wing at 7deg and I believe the diffuser Increased...

Willow Springs Raceway - Big Willow Full Course - 1:21.521

rollercoaster of emotions in this weekend . many things happened . very bad and very good. I'm rusty. made mistakes ( huge one in t6) but fuxx it is good to be back racing! many 1:20 predicted so it is doable. Car still need lots of adjustments. 35mph headwind didn't help but the car is really...

    coolers for road racing?

Still not sure about 10AN va 12AN Though. For pressure or quantity? I have 10AN and running constant 80psi of pressure in a 2018.I use a 660. Slighty smaller than 948. But with good boxing and lots of louvers. I dont have a tgermostat i just warm well the engine when cold. Of course is...

AP racing front brake kit for 2020 GT500

@Serpent Stang is the guy to talk to. He has the fastest gt500 in US. He runs AP RACING brakes. I think he can take care of you. Especially if you are planning to reduce weight. This a huge upgrade for the car. Less consumable costs. Smaller wheels for less weight. Win win.

Why new front splitters seem to have an upturned lip? (AJ Hartman please help)

It is all depending where you want the downforce. the upturned splitter allows for more air To be squeeze under the car. The More air squeezed. The faster the air has to accelerate to preserve the momentum. The faster it goes to do that, the more suction you get. Same concept with a splitter...

NASA TT, Reduce power to stay in TT# and run Hoosier?

At least 2 or 3 seconds faster. A7 is the best TT tire. If you want a compromise (but not contingency) you should consider some A052 yoko. It is -1 (vs 1.6 of RR) A052 are similar in Lat G with hoosier slighty worst in braking G But they ain't cheap and the real "hero lap " happens in the...
