Thanks. And do the calibrations live on the EPAS rack itself, not somewhere else in the I assume? Any insight on the effort and feel of the Boss 302R EPAS rack versus stock street Boss rack in sport setting?
I’ve recently installed a Boss 302S/R ABS controller in my 2012 Boss 302. This forces the EPAS steering mode to lock into “sport”. Disabling the stability and traction control with the button press and hold prior to changing the ABS controller did the same thing.
Anyone know of a way to get the...
Vetracer, I suspect your wheel hop problems were caused by the change to your rear brake setup. The bigger rear rotor and increased distance between the calipers and axle centerline gave your rear brakes a bigger lever arm, so braking torque to the rear axle has increased and your overall brake...
Hi all,1:54.6 lap at Sonoma Raceway, via Harry's LapTimer pro w/ external GPS.Stock drivetrain, Nitto NT01's 275 x 18 square, Maximum Motorsports road & track suspension package. Not the fastest thing out there, but very nice to drive. Rotates nicely both on the brake and the throttle.
Hi all - here are a few recent laps with NCRC @ Thunderhill West 2 mile, in my street/trackday dual purpose Boss 302.
1:28.03 per Harry's Laptimer w/external GPS. Pretty happy with the pace considering I wasn't going 10/10ths and short shifting a bit. Car was feeling pretty balanced and doing...
Hey Racer47,I was maybe a little unclear - I've changed multiple things in stages. What I know is swapping back to the OEM DS from a Dynotech single piece aluminum unit, all else being equal on the MM recommended setup made the hop issue go away based on ~80mph hard braking tests done by my...
And 67GTA, back to your situation I agree with others comments that excessive anti squatI agree that looking at your anti-squat geometry carefully makes sense. Yes, making your LCA’s more flat versus being downhill from chassis to axle will reduce anti-squat. Consider if DS might be...
Hi everyone,@67GTA, I believe I’ve solved the issue of the braking hop recently, so good timing on reviving this old thread. Thanks for the video post - looks very similar to my experience, glad you got away with it and had nothing to hit :-)In my case, seems it was an aftermarket single...
Thanks guys,My LCA's are damn near perfectly horizontal with car at static ride height. Compared with stock, I believe the rear is somewhere around 1.5" to 2.0" lower with the MM springs I have. I mis-spoke on the relocation brackets - they are FRPP not MM, and I'm currently using the upper of...
LCA’s are mounted to the upper of two hole positions on the LCA brackets, so I have no way of reducing anti-squat with current setup. Will measure angles of the LCA’s next. Other things to look for?
Hi all,Been struggling with rear axle hop under hard braking on track in my '12 Boss. Anything over ~0.8g's, especially if the pavement has some ripples. Getting some pretty violent vertical movements from the rear axle which of course de-stabilizes the whole car, needing release and re-apply...
Finally got around to installing the clutch stop. My timing and consistency on the clutch is much improved, both street and track. Also find it less fatiguing to press the clutch pedal down against the stop during stop/go traffic, versus having to hold the pedal mid-stroke. Highly recommend this...
