  1. GT500 Exhaust

Agree on painting the back of the mufflers flat back - looks great! I also spent of a couple of hours polishing the tips with some Mothers metal polish and a polishing wheel on my drill. Amazing improvement, gets rid of the coarse factory polishing marks and really smooths out the finish...
  2. What did you do to your Boss 302 or S197 today?

Re: What did you do to your boss today?Did first oil change at 1650 miles with Mobil 1 and Motorcraft filter, and finally got around to installing my 5/8" exhaust discs. Really sounds badass now, nice deep powerful sound without being overly loud. Thanks for the great product, Rick. ;D
  3. oil consumption

Have about 1,000 miles on mine, no oil consumption so far...installed a JLT passenger side air-oil separator at 500 miles, works fine and looks stock. I don't think you need one on the driver's side for normal street driving.
  4. Magnetic jack pads

Would really appreciate that, they just eliminated the drive-on lift where I take my car to work on, nothing but side post lifts now. Look forward to hearing how they work for you. Thanks, Glenn
  5. What did you do to your Boss 302 or S197 today?

Re: What did you do to your boss today?Damn, sorry to hear of your losses, but glad you are OK. Thank goodness for that airbag curtain...I wish you all the best.
  6. Magnetic jack pads

Do you know if these will fit the rear jacking points on a Boss? Asking because the True Forged adapters fit the the front, but not the back, since the mounting bolt/bracket for the side exhausts is in the way.
  7. What did you do to your Boss 302 or S197 today?

Re: What did you do to your boss today?Washed and detailed, installed JLT catch can and front splash guards - guards look nice, they match the stock ones on the rear wheel wells. Pulled the fuel rail covers, starting to sound more like a muscle car. Next up when I can find the time, GT 500...
  8. driveline clunk

Got the clunk here too and only 350 miles. I've learned to minimize it with clutch/throttle compensation, but it's there. Definitely excessive ring and pinion backlash - I had the same problem with an '06 GTO after I had an "expert" install a set of 3.91s. What a nightmare, after two more...
  9. What did you do to your Boss 302 or S197 today?

Re: What did you do to your boss today?Broke out of winter storage for the first time this year, put a hundred miles or so on. Wow! Feel like a teenager again every time I drive this car...California Car Duster and back under the cover again waiting for consistent good weather...gotta love...
  10. Front license plate holder holes

Mine has them too, at first I thought the dealer had done it, even though I told them not to install the front plate bracket.
