Gen3 shortblock is the right choice for sure. I'd personally reuse your OEM heads and upgrade the valve springs so you have a bit more safety at high RPM.I have 3 sets of LU47 injectors if you want a screaming deal. One is new (installed, but... (see full post)

Holy Crap! Glad you guys are doing ok (ish) and very sorry about the damage . Stay safe! Tornados are serious business,

Well, two hours after getting home on vacation, Liz and I got hit by a tornado but we are doing fine. We got some roof damage, broke the front door, no windows broken, 1/4th of the deck is gone and...............................aargh , my almost...

I run Goodyears and get Discount's "warranty" or whatever they call it. I rarely have to pay out of pocket again since the warranty covers replacements from anything but major mileage-related wear. Ive gotten my money back on the investment the 3... (see full post)

Realize that the "good" tire was carrying the whole load on that side of the trailer for quite a distance. Check closely for signs of internal damage, like a blister in the sidewall. You might not tow the same annual distance, but from what the...

I use the Hankooks in my load range G stuff and like them. Much cheaper than Goodyear. I have a tireminder TPMS and it works fine and is nice to monitor pressure and heat. My only complaint is that the safe range seems pretty narrow. My...

I drove for three hours early one morning like this. Had no idea until I stopped for fuel when the sun came up. Absolutely no indication or difference in towing feel.Of course the trailer was old enough that the axle assemblies were no longer...

Not throwing shots, but definitely using your lessons learned. My luck would have both exhausts falling off at the kink when I come to RA (see full post)

yep - one of the things Russell said is when the welds fail, the crack typically expands beyond just the weld. So Ti exhaust cracks are pretty catastrophic. It sounds like a hassle. Sure sounds good and weighs a lot less than stainless, tho! (see full post)

Ti welding has to be done very carefully. It "should" be purge welded and the temp is highly critical. MUCH more critical than any other metal. Too cold and the rod sticks to the part when you don't want it to and too hot the part is junk and you...

yep - there's a reason I outsourced the Ti welding. Don't need my stuff falling off the car :D (see full post)

Got a bit further on the radiator ducting last night. Using super thin/cheap AL for rev1 because I want to make it out of CF once I know it works. Needs a bit more trimming and then some reinforcement. Then mounting points and we should be good... (see full post)
