I used a Trac-Lok until my HPDE 4 days (2006 Mustang GT) when I replaced it with a Torsen T2R. At that point in my driving I noticed a huge difference, some under braking and most from apex to exit. The Torsen (I don't have experience with the Tru Trac, but the function is the same) will...
My car has a Lund tune, but the car did not come with a tuner. I used Forscan to do the crank relearn, and I haven’t noticed any effect on the performance of the car. So I don’t think it changed the tune or reflashed the car since it is a maintenance type function.
I use it on my mustang for crank relearn, abs bleed (as mentioned) and Speedo adjustments. Came in handy on my F-150 for speedo change as well to connect the trailer brake do-hicky in the cab as the truck had the wiring, but not the brake actuator (do-hicky).
Installed Girodisc rotors on the front for the beginning of the NASA season here in Utah. Metal artwork! Boy, that brake duct hose is embarrassing... (it's getting replaced as well!)
I did my first 3 years of track driving (street and track) on the Ford Performance lowering spring, adjustable dampers and swaybars. Always good to go with the same vendor when possible. Moved up to Ground Control, ride hight adjustable, single damper adjustable Koni, 450lb front, 250lb divorced...
Me too! It’s about time I updated my thread, but I’ll be servicing everything this week if you need any specific pictures I would be happy to post them for you.
Being that I am old as dirt and a bit old school, I also use the pressure to tell me if the car is ready to go on track. If I get to grid and my idle pressure is in the 50 psi range, then I let it run/idle/rev a bit until idle psi gets down to about 35-40. My oil temp at that point is about...
I had a question once about programming and used the online support option and received a message back in about 24 hours. It looks like you can access this page without a login. Hope it helps.https://support.formula1.com/s/f1-tv?language=en_US
Nice car! With all your go fast mods and race heim joints you have, I can’t imagine you will hear a difference. I took the firewall blanket out. Didn’t notice a thing.
I had a wrench code once with the same symptoms. My mechanic (me) had been servicing the air filter and the dope forgot to plug in the Mass Airflow Sensor. Need to fire that guy!Not that it is your problem as well, but if you have been working on it, go over your work. Something might be...
Definitely use the average HP. Here is my certification form. Start with the highest horsepower reading. Step up 250rpm and down 250 rpm. You are looking for the 6 or 7 lowest numbers 250rpm up or down from the max. My max is 413, my average is 400. I class it at 403 to give me some room. Makes...
@Bill Pemberton is spot on. Do what you can to run a 315 tire. Even if you run a -1.6 or -1 tire, you are building for the future when you will eventually run the R7/A7.I ran my 2014 in TT3 for a year and a half. Prior to that a 2006 in TT4 and TT3 for 5 years. Never made the podium in 5 years...
I wasn’t sure I could answer your question, since I have the complete Cortex SLA and all the rear axle bits, and the car is stripped for TT2 (3400 with driver). It is an NVH machine, so I can’t say how much the front LCA contributes. I have to wear ear plugs the road noise is so bad. But the...
