  1. I need an ABS solution! (FP350S or BOSS S/R) to work with MOTEC ecu.

Not many "full-on" racecars built from S550s that I've seen would be one reason why. Also not as easy as saying un-plug/replace/remove/use x-y-z part and go have fun.
  2. I need an ABS solution! (FP350S or BOSS S/R) to work with MOTEC ecu.

I would be surprised if the FP350s didn't work by itself- but i don't have any first hand experience, it is on my list of to do projects to try. The OEM S550 system has so much else going on with hill start, line lock, stability control, TC, etc that yes it has to talk back and forth with the...
  3. I need an ABS solution! (FP350S or BOSS S/R) to work with MOTEC ecu.

What CAN signals does the FP350S unit need from other modules? Are you using the Motec plug and play kit for the S550 Coyote, or totally re-wiring the car? What are you using for data recorder/dash? You need an 11-14 mustang abs connector for the FP abs Module.
  4. Rear brake calipers, how long are they lasting?

There will be differences of opinion until the end of time. To me a lot of people/companies are just into selling hard parts on perception, not working off real world knowledge or having to work within a tighter box for rules. When cars are new/recent working off the OEM parts supply is great...
  5. My S197 Got crushed by a trio of M3's on trackday at Waterford Hills MI

Flat splitter ( no tunnels) that sticks out 2" from the bumper/boss chin and back to the front axle centerline(rules), louvers in the hood and a the g-stream 62" wing run at 0* - thats it. fairly tame.
  6. SCCA runoffs

    A lap from qualifying
  7. Is an autocross compound and curb hopping bad?

Did you have vibration before failure? look around the tread for a puncture - maybe a slow leak - but usually that would just peel the tire off the bead. looks like it was cut/damaged. maybe damage on a curb is possible, but i can't think of a curb at pocono that you can' use far enough to...
  8. Dark Horse R Press Release

Without knowing how complicated the S650 electronics will be, this could be the only option to put something on track that you can tinker with. I agree that most can't just dump $150k in one shot for trackdays, but a lot have probably put that into a car over the years when you add up time...
  9. Longitudinal Accelerometer (lngacc) Issue 2013 GT

Do you have anything else plugged into the OBD2? Or anything non-OEM that is connected to the CAN Bus? The flipping sounds like 2 modules are sending info on the same CAN address.
  10. Greetings from Road America

This isn't a "rubbing is racing" problem, this is a lack of experience and respect problem that comes with giving anybody with money a licence. Its always been that way, years ago it seemed there were enough guys who knew what they were to keep it some what calm(also a bunch more drivers who...
  11. 2 Instances of Stripped FoMoCo Racing Front Wheel Studs - Advice?

Are those 1/2" or 14mm studs? On the 1/2" I'm typically doing 90lb-ft I'm assuming you run at Pitt Race? Were they both on the same hub?-( Edit- never mind, needed to read closer) Which side had the problem first? Run over any debris? I had a funny occurrence at Pitt Race earlier this...

  13. Boss 302R/302S ABS Module

Looks like M-2353-CA is back to being available from Ford Performance again. Not sure when they will be shipped though.
  14. ABS problems.

That may require a dealer to look at it. Quick look at the shop manual (for a '15 MY) its a communication code for the steering rack receiving data from the ABS unit. If you clear it, does the ABS light stay lit?
  15. ABS problems.

We've used some generic ones and then look up the code numbers in the manual as the description from the reader might not be 100% accurate. Also have used a high level Matco scanner as well. Usually you need to select which module it scans at one time.
