I have a 2014 long block in my 2011, so I will be in the same boat. So far it seems just fine, I will update as ambient temps rise. These were 30min sessions, though.
Looks pretty good. Running a custom diffuser also, mounting a bit more simple, though. My buddy made/makes them. Tucks up in the front behind the sway bar.
Correct, that is temp coming back from the cooler. I would love to know that information also.. hmm. I never had a boss cooler, so just running the 948 on its own. I am also curious to get some data at higher ambient temp.Dan
For those interested, I did my first track event this weekend at Lime Rock with the car.Oil temp was a max of 225, water was a max of 214. ~65*F temp and high humidity, running the car hard.
Buy a different car.In all seriousness, I would get a fully prepped e36 m3, spec miata or for higher power z06 for what I do and knowing what I know now.
I put my temp sensor in the inlet back from the cooler to the plate. I know a bunch on here did it the other way to get a max high reading, but I did it this way instead.
I am eager to find out. I am having an issue with my oil pressure sensor, however. It was working fine and now it is acting funky going to a negative number and then back to the real reading. I will be looking into the wiring, but I may do the track event anyways and fly blind on the pressure.
I am doing my first track day next week with the cooler installed. I'll have some good data after that, have been busy moving and didn't really have time to test the car out much.. hopefully that doesn't bite me.
