On my last track day I had an Alfa Romeo 4C fly in front of me as I was about to turn in for the Andretti Hairpin at Laguna Seca because he hadn't checked his brake fluid and he last his pedal coming down the main straight. Luckily he stopped about a foot short of the wall after skidding through...
Sorry I'm running Cup 2s already. I don't really see the benefit of going 305 all around since I couldn't rotate them anyway other than side to side which I can already do with a stagger setup. I'm probably being dense and missing something, what would be the benefit of that?
Good to know. I don’t think there’s any doubt the Pagid’s are better, that’s why they cost the most. But like I said I was hoping to find a happy place with either Ferodo, G-Loc or Raybestos. If that doesn’t work out, P-town here I come.
why did they suck? Most folks say they last a long time and perform admirably on track. I also considered the G-Loc and Ferodo pads but I don’t remember the compounds I settled on off hand. Pagid pads are great, but they are also the most expensive option so I was going to try other stuff before...
totally. i have the car inspected after every track day including measuring water content in the fluid so I take it day by day. The OEM fluid is Dot4 so I feel safe, but will go with the Motul600 when it's time to change.
I'm sure you're right about the swing, but it also looks cool and that counts for something. Plus I hate the fingerprint trap piano black that exists everywhere you need to touch to close the trunk. I suppose not everything is about performance. In regard to the rotors, I had the shop check the...
I don't know that I'd say I want to go fairly stock, I just don't want to go square since I recently bought the wheels I'm using and I like them (aesthetically and performance). My personal experience has been that I really haven't noticed the car to understeer, now I'm sure it does, but I...
I'm 100% certain that you're right, but I don't get enough track time to satisfy my urges to play with the car and mods fill in the gaps. The GT350 is roughly a 1:36 car at Laguna, but I don't have the time or track access to become that good, so I need the mechanical help. I was actually...
I'm trying to wrap my head around why Ford took the rear spring rates down 6% with the 2019 OEM suspension update to compensate for the additional downforce and new tires on those models. Then the FP released springs that took the rear spring rate down by 31%.It seems widely accepted the car...
Our oldest was a great sleeper pretty much since the beginning so our second will probably go his whole life without sleep. We'll see.Now that I'm committed to camber plates and making the adjustment to a lot more camber I'm trying to figure out what else to do to the car. I'm thinking before...
My second kid is due on the 22nd so I most definitely will not be at Laguna on the 19th but I will be there for the Shelby Club event on November 28th (or whatever the day after Thanksgiving is).Honestly the only reason I went for the 325s is because the shop I bought the setup from didn't...
