My Boss battery just died -- went out to take grandson for a ride, and all I got was a click and dead as a hammer -- but upon sitting for a few minutes read 12,8 volts on volt/ohm meter. Tried to start again and same click, no lights, radio, etc. Battery is 3-1/2 yrs old, as is car, purchased...
Thanks for the feedback -- confirms my suspicions. I do not have issues when using track key, only street key, so it appears to be basic factory tuning problem. Have heard good things about AED tune & may resort to that after warranty is expired.
Saw ad in latest Mustang Monthly mag for a PedalMAX , by JMS Chip & Performance. It plugs in between acc. pedal position sensor and vehicle harness to eliminate stalling and improve throttle response -- anyone tried or have thoughts? May cure some of the stumbling & stalling some of us have...
Nothing to report as yet, due to floods in area and MOCSEM events, did not make Woodward Cruise. Work order still open at dealer. Will report any news when available.https://trackmustangsonline.com/Smileys/default/huh.gif
Tech took out 3 times for a total of 21 miles -- evidently not enough to spring any faults on flight recorder. Work order open due to my wanting car back last Friday for this week's cruise. To return after this week for further check out @ dealer (located across street from FRAP!).
To pick up tomorrow -- tech and svc. mgr. has driven and warmed up well, they say. I will find out how many miles driven when I pick up. May be able to get some info from Ford Racing tech line, if any other complaints. Sure miss the Boss!
??? 8)Took Boss back to dealer today.....they called ME to bring for a second attempt at correction! As of 4:00 PM, they have tried twice to repeat issue, one with tech & once with svc. mgr., with no stumble. Ford Tech line was called and they are waiting for reply.....keeping car indoors...
I got a call from dealer today to bring car in again. They must not have liked my survey answer! We'll see what transpires....will keep you all informed!
Had stumbling issue checked at dealer -- could not duplicate and flight recorder showed zip,nada.....! That was couple weeks ago and car has run perfectly until yesterday -- on Telegraph Rd. cruise! Pulled away from a turnaround and got some revs up, engine hesitated on 1-2 shift again, then...
Thanks to all for feedback! Will get into dealer for wring-out soon. Never had an issue with our GT500 or '03 T-Bird, as far as drivability issues are concerned. 8)
The only mods are the factory track key and the side exhaust electric cutouts, so it has to be a factory warranty issue. Being intermittent, it's hard to duplicate, so maybe a scan may show something.
Had track key tune install done right away -- $324 total @ selling dealer. Love the sound and feel of the car with red key -- it's worth it when pulling into cruise spot to see reaction to sound and shake! Throttle response and drivability great with minimal impact on mileage. I have the QTP...
Has anyone had an issue with acceleration stumble from 1st to 2nd gear at mid range rpm? Engine seems to go flat, then catch and go......but intermittently. Also, on the highway at 70 mph without cruise, take foot off gas to slow for traffic or downhill, then when pushing back on gas pedal...
Re: What did you do to your boss today?Took it out today for run to bank and drug store in 26 deg weather -- owners' manual is correct to use caution below 40 deg weather ......tires will slip all over and hard as a rock!! :(
