I found an article where a guy lowered his, running a wider tire and a ET15 wheel. I decided to pull the trigger on the XXR wheels with ET20. I will report back when it’s all installed and include photos as well. Thanks guys for all the help and info...
It has the factory 245 45R19 on there and I didn’t want to spend another $1300 in tires since we just bought the car and there is brand new Michelin’s on it. I know I’m being cheap but I just wanted a good look and not trying to track it.
Ok the wife just got home with the stang so I went out and measured. Why would I have 1 1/8” on drivers side and 1 5/8 on passenger side for clearance? That seems really odd.
Thank you for this, but I’m trying to find the clearance of my fender well. I know the new wheel will push my Tire out 30mm. And I know 30mm is doable on an s197 but what I don’t know is if it’s doable once lowered 1.5”. That’s what I’m looking for. If my tire pokes out slightly will it come...
I’m running the Eibach pro which drops it 1.5” front and rear. I was trying to stay as close to the original wheel size as possible which is a 19x8.5 bc I didn’t want to run into fitment issues as I’m obviously a newbie at this. I just wanted to push the tire out a bit to give it a better...
Looking at this car in the photo it appears to be stock ride height and will allow for the suspension to go up and down and not come into contact with the fender. Mine is lowered 1.5” so I don’t understand how if the tire pokes out past the fender it won’t come into contact when going over humps.
Thank you very much for the info! I will try and find that thread. Apparently I was searching for the wrong term or phrase bc I couldn’t find what I was looking for.
Thanks for the reply’s. This is an extra vehicle I bought to drive around on sunny days. I’m solely going for looks. I want black wheels and wanted to get them with an offset that pushes them out flush with the fenders. I’ve read online that 25-30mm spacers do the trick and I’ve also read that...
I’ve searched high and low on this sight but can’t find the answer to my question. Lots of good info here but I’m trying to figure out what offset I can run without rubbing the fender. Factory tire size 245 45R19 on a 2010 Mustang GT convertible. I’m buying new 19” wheels bc I wanted black and...
