Good point, whenever I have a blowout, the other one of that side gets replaced regardless. Overkill in many cases if you don't go that long with the flat, but in the past when I didn't replace the other, it failed next trip. One has to keep in mind that sometimes when the tires blow out...
No, you do not have to make a 360 turn. On the photo below, you are turning the red part as little or as much as you need.THe yellow part does not move. When you are done, hold the blue thing with a wrench and tighten the oem jam nut against it.TDaveW
I am not sure what you are doing, but it is not right, :(Tighten the jam nut on the rod end against the sleeve tightly. Screw this "assembly" on to the inner tie rod and put everything back together (if it is apart). Make your alignment adjustment one hundred percent by screwing the inner...
I use the Hankooks in my load range G stuff and like them. Much cheaper than Goodyear. I have a tireminder TPMS and it works fine and is nice to monitor pressure and heat. My only complaint is that the safe range seems pretty narrow. My monsters take 110psi. If I set the pressure at 105 in...
I might be misunderstanding what you are saying, but there is definitely NOT another adjustment under the boot on any car. The threaded part there is 100% to hold the inner tie rod on to the rack and it needs to be torqued and locked properly or else it will unscrew and kill you, or come apart...
100% on pinion depth. You aren't removing the pinion when you change the diff so the pinion depth won't change and that is what sets most of the pattern. The backlash is set by the shims between the case and the diff carrier bearings. I don't think I have ever had a 8.8 need different shims...
When my car was in street class autox trim, I actually had to rebuild the trac loc 2-3x per year even with carbon clutches.Regardless, what I always disliked about the stock diff, whether it was fresh or not, and whether autocross or track days (I used to do) was the inconsistency from cold...
This is an old thread. There is zero reason to get a 2015 helmet even if you can find one. 2020 will be on close out late next year.as far as where….last i checked Amazon or eBay had never given a club you run with any support but the site sponsors are making this conversation...
If it is air in the system, pumping the pedal will bring the pedal up higher.Silly question, but the new hubs are tight, correct? Any play there will knock the pads back and make the pedal shiznit. Though it usually comes back on the second pump. Also, the car was sitting for a bit? Make...
We loved our Koni Yellows for the price on our S197 when we ran it in street class autocross. Turn then "stiff" for autocross and then "soft" for daily driving (My wife drove it daily for 3-4 years). You could definitely feel the difference between stiff and soft.DaveW
That is a thing, but you won't like the performance of static cling. It is very finicky to install and then is super senstitive to heat and temp changes and may want to blow off. The cling materials are designed for static point of sale and window type stuff.Do you need it all to be on...
We can do them (solo performance). Email me Monday at [email protected] with dimensions and i can price out. There is no such thing as clear reusable vinyl however so they would have to either be on a larger background panel, or separate. (The glue on re-usable is not clear)DaveW
