    Andres @ autoblip responded, "Yes it can be wired to a switched source. Make sure the switched source is on during startup. One thing to keep in mind is that the unit will always default to the active state every time you start the vehicle."

    Ok, I just installed it and it is NOT switched - it is continuous. :(

    It's not switched with ACC? It drains the battery while the car is off? Why didn't they use switched power? Any reason the 12v couldn't come from switched power?
