I think the Mach1 is the sweet spot for track Mustangs, since it has the coolers and the Coyote has proven reliability. I believe the A10 is absolutely fantastic for track duty, and fun for me, too. With the M1 you can choose manual/auto trans. I still doubt if its oil cooling is sufficient...
The instructor may have meant to say "turn on your heat". Some folks think that the heater is another small radiator to help out the main one. They point the vents away from the driver.I don't know if that's enough to help much, but I DO know that an auxiliary oil cooler will!
I had some of this gasket lying around, so I heated a soldering iron to 350F and then held the gasket and its stickum against the iron. No smoke, and no melting!I had to see for myself.
I would take wing angle out first. Take a scientific approach: log high-speed corner speeds, etc.
In theory, your aero won't affect the slow/mid speed corners much. But >80-100mph aero has more of an effect. If you can feel the balance (bc of understeer) in a long high-speed turn, then...
My advice is to spend time researching the details and nuances of replacing them. I just did mine and they are a PITA if doing them for the first time. I am partway through making a write-up of my experiences with tips to post at the 6g forum.
