  1. This brake kit seems like a no brainer, right?

I have the PP calipers and RSL 29 front and 14" rear with RSL 29. They are perfectly steetable and work great on track, but they are very aggressive on street tires. I had the 13-14 GT500 calipers which worked great but have limited pad choices. If I had to do it again I would have to the GT350...
  2. New shocks / springs for street track setup?

I have the Ground Control with 500/250 and race valving. Good on track and a decent street ride on full soft. Unless you can use extremely low ride height (which you can't in Pa) you will need 8" front springs and 9 or 10 rear.
  3. Front hub frozen

Heat it but don't get crazy, it will come off. A small bearing puller would help a lot.
  4. 'Check Charging System' message...

I diagnosed it with my snap on scanner. There was no way to fix it without changing the harness. You have to pull the transmission to make the change. Be very careful with the alternator connections.
  5. MT82 repairs/upgrades/parts/tech advice

I got two bad ones from Calimer. If you buy from them, good luck!
  6. Calimer

Just the stage one but it didn't have second gear from the first time I let out the clutch! VMP is guilty here to as I bought it from them and again they just don't care.
  7. Calimer

There is no warranty with them, been there, done that, never again!
  8. 'Check Charging System' message...

I scanned and followed the shop manual for the repair.A new alternator worked for nearly a year with no Check Charging Message. Run OT and come off and get the message again.Change the battery harness, same alternator, good for the last 4 years. I do keep a spare alternator just in case. The car...
  9. 'Check Charging System' message...

I had the same same check charging system light on my 12 Boss 302. First time was coming off the track at Watkins Glen. Scanned it and alternator showed bad.Replaced it and good for awhile and charging system light came back on and off. Ended up changing the battery harness. That ended the...
  10. Brake Pad/Rotor Upgrade for track days

The ATE 200 is great fluid.I actually use in all my cars and never boiled the fluid. It's reasonably priced too.
  11. Calimer

There stuff is junk.I had two bad ones in a row.Never even made it out of the driveway with the first one.I ended up rebuilding the second one and it's been great. When I tore the second one down it even had dirt in the case. What a joke and they don't care one bit.
  12. Seperate clutch fluid reservoir

On my Boss 302 I mounted the GTO reservoir on the back side of the strut tower by drilling two holes. The brake fluid line is the perfect length so very easy and clean installation.
  13. Metal chips in differential

The center register is solid aluminum held on by I think a 5/16 capscrew. I had trouble initially because one side kept coming loose. Took it apart cleaned and torqued and it's been good for years.I've been thinking about going with the Strange E-Clip kit. When I installed my watts link a few...
  14. Metal chips in differential

Just beware that on the Moser axles I have the center hub is to short to center the wheel. It's only long enough to center the rotor. Not a good thing for road course duty. Take a look at the strange axles, the have a removable center that extends to the wheel hub.I changed to them and they've...
  15. Cortex Torque Arm and Watts: An Honest, Thorough, Track Based Review

I just ran my first day with the Cortex watts link yesterday.Actually only a half day since the vent fitting in the axle tube cracked. What are you all using as a vent fitting. The supplied Cortex fitting sticks up to high and hit the exhaust.Looking for a low profile solution. Sorry to change...
