Car ran great all weekend. Cam phaser fixed it. Runs much better as well but one small problem, it has a small oil leak hitting the manifold and the burning oil smell. Still going back to the dealer but at least the problem was correctly identified.

Car returned running fine. They claim they have no idea what failed and they just send the bad parts back. The next trackday at Thunderhill with BMWCCA will determine if they fixed it.

Got a call yesterday that when the tech pulled the car in to begin work found that the phaser was backordered with a date of "30+." I told them I'll take a loaner car right now until the car is actually completed. This morning told they found they found the part in Richmond, CA and had already...

Still at the dealership getting cam phasers. Will be ready this Thursday.

Still no word but tomorrow I'll call a get an update.

Next time I'll have the five point slow. Update: the dealer returned her with 5W-30 oil which may work better at higher temps. Will be at Thunderhill West with SpeedSF this weekend and if the cam and misfire codes return I'll bring her back home with codes intact for the dealer to review.
