I would also be interested in finding this info out. Or just how the tires feel in general as biggsy hits it on the head, they are much cheaper than a lot of the competition's DOT R-compounds.
Added a few new bits and bobbles to the Mustang. Finally got around to installing the Dynotech driveshaft that I ordered. Though I realize now that if I want to do the MGW shifter in the future, the 4" drive shaft might have been a bad choice. But we'll get to that point when we do. Managed to...
While not a spectacular update, I was able to finally get some work done on the car this weekend (thankfully it was finally and properly warm). I'll still need to go back and clean up my engine bay, so I'll do that before rotating spark plugs, but hey, heavy and semi-useless strut tower bar...
Ruby now has new shoes. Just need to put some wheels inside them and get them on. (I know it's not pics of the actual car, I'll get those in a few days!)
Yeah, I'm referring to that new line. I'm talking with my region's local tech guy to see what he thinks the interpretation is. But I had read it as "if part x is allowed, then any part that does the same function as x is also allowed."And yeah, I can see what you mean after looking at the NASA...
That's good to know for the shocks/struts/coilovers. That part will make a difference once I understand what my Mustang will and won't do. I'll upgrade those down the line once I have a bit of track time under my belt and a better understanding of my car.As for that shock part example, I was...
Oh, every little bit of advice from everyone, whether they are national champs or weekend warriors, is definitely taken in. I'll look into NASA rules, too. I'll admit to being a bit less informed about NASA purely because I haven't given them as much thought as they deserve or as I should.And...
I appreciate the advice.Yeah, I'm under no otherworldly belief that I would be remotely competitive in T2 with a V6. Especially not when most everything else would outclass me by quite a bit of power, torque, and grip. If I ever get bored and want to remove the restrictor off the V6 in many...
How many of the allowed parts did you end up putting on to the car when it was in T4 guise? And do you have any recommendations on linear spring rates/brands that would work well or that I should avoid?
Yeah. And likely only due to the Cyclone 3.7 being on par with the old 4.6L V8. Otherwise, it still probably would've been T4.Can I pick your brain or get a rough parts list on what you had on the T4 Mustang? I'm still trying to interpret some of the GCR's wording on what is and isn't allowed...
I haven't seen the '11 V6 be allowed in T4. I do see the '05-'10 Mustang V6, which I had briefly considered (there was a yellow Phoenix prepared T4 that I saw for $15k a while back that I had considered).Do you think T2 might be a better build goal since it does allow headers and cold air...
lol, I would, but SCCA T3 only allows 275s for my Mustang. So I figure since that's the max size allowed, that's the size I should get used to using. If I was running T2, I would definitely invest in larger tires.
Yeah, I'll probably be okay with that. I need lots of suggestions and definitely don't mind the help. I'll see about posting some pictures after I get the rear diff worked on (not that there will be much difference visually).I think I'll end up grabbing a set of EC-7s and putting on the some...
