I'm 28 and loving this car. It doesn't leave a ton of financial room to throw mods on it though. Although I don't plan on letting that stop me order the MGW shifter :)
I would help you out if I was a little closer. I'm on the other side of Chicago. I agree with what the others have said too. If you can't find anyone close who is willing to help out, try finding a dealer with a new GT or Roush(preferably) that you would be able to drive to get a feel for...
Yes, that's a very good deal. And at this time in the year that is how they should be selling with the 2013s on the way. Some dealers still don't get that though and want to tack on that ADM.
Maybe before they did. Now you can way more easily find them for under MSRP. I've seen at least 5 posts in the past month or so of dealers selling them for $1,000 or more under sticker price.
Must be nice to have the extreme be single digits! Here in Chicago the winters get rough. We will hit 30 and 40 below wind chills at least 5 times or so. The current highs are in the upper 30s though, so it's been pretty decent so far. If it wasn't so windy all of the time it wouldn't be so...
It will go back to what Ford has stated in regards to warranties. Any mods done that are traced back to the mod in question...that will then void the warranty. So if something happens as a direct result of the new CAI on, then your warranty will be voided...which is why I had no problem...
It isn't that big of a deal if your car isn't the one burning up the oil. Or if you knew about it to begin with so you knew to check it often to make sure that it was at an appropriate level.
My car went away for the winter, so I will definitely be checking it religiously in the spring. From there I will see what my car actually does in regards to oil usage.
I am in the exact same boat as you. And my real concern right now is that I hope I am not that guy. Running 75% low on oil is not something I really want to brag about haha. But it is something that I wanted everyone to be made aware of so that it doesn't happen to anyone else.So you have...
Let me tell you a funny(not really at all) story about burning oil...Well, let's start with the fact that I know next to nothing about cars, but assume that new cars would be fine in regards to oil(yeah, wrong). I got my car and drove it for 2000 miles, then had the dealership change the oil...
So I'm out last night and on my way home I'm at a red light waiting to turn left. An 05-10 Roush pulls up beside me with some kids in it who were going to be turning right. So of course he gives it a little rev. It sounded okay at best, so I gave him a little rev back. Well with my baffles...
Ford couldn't even start the approval process with CARB until they had the first production vehicle made. So it is by no means Ford's fault that everything is taking so long. Although I agree that Ford has done a piss poor job of keeping their customers informed of what is or isn't going on...
Re: Track Attack !!!!!!!!!!!!!!Sweet. Thank you for posting the information! Now I can start planning my vacation for next summer 8) Might even make a road trip out to Utah with the wife. Only a 22 hour trip...and with the Boss that just means 22 hours of fun. Just went on a Mustang...
