  1. New Wheels for my.....future Boss

I'm pretty sure the offset is wrong.
  2. regarding the side exhaust

My traction control is in my right foot or right wrist. ;D
  3. regarding the side exhaust

Oh yeah, with the 295 BFG Comp TA's all it takes is a dip of the clutch and its a smoke show! Fun stuff! ;DIf you roll into it in third with the traction control on it will “trip it”. I’m about to throw some R888’s at it with 305’s on the rear. I’m hoping for a little more traction but I don’t...
  4. regarding the side exhaust

Yeah, that would be a riot! My 2007 is pretty mellow sounding. Just a Magnaflow cat back and a catted X-pipe on it. But I would love to have some “ricer” pull up next to me and rip his “fart can” just so I could flip the switch and re-arrange his internal organs with a few blips of the throttle...
  5. regarding the side exhaust

Electric cutouts would be cool. Even if they aren't worth any power. But I'd bet they would be worth a few HP. Cat back systems on the 5.0 motors are about 10hp. No reason that bypassing the "cat back" portion of the system wouldn't produce the same gains. It would be a lot of fun to show up at...
  6. New Wheels for my.....future Boss

On a street car I can’t see going out of my way to do it. But for a car that hits the track absolutely go with some lines. I have ridden a few nearly stock bikes at the track and the stock brake lines which are pretty good drive me insane. If feel far more insulated from the front contact patch...
  7. Boss 302 Debut at Laguna Seca - First Drive Reviews

Unfortunately all too true. You should have to pass a test to buy a BOSS. ;)
  8. Boss 302 Debut at Laguna Seca - First Drive Reviews

Re: Boss 302 Debut at Laguna SecaI went with the T2R in my 2007 and am amazed at how good it is. I wasn't expecting much. I can feel it "working" just screwing around on the twisty back roads. It's lightyears better than the stock Trac-Loc in my 2010.
  9. Boss 302 Debut at Laguna Seca - First Drive Reviews

Re: Boss 302 Debut at Laguna Seca Agreed, I was just commenting on the “speed” of the respective tracks. LS is “small” compared to VIR and Big Willow. VIR and Willow are two rare tracks where you can top a 1000cc Superbike out…..and stay there for a few heartbeats at WOT.Streets of Willow is...
  10. Shave 25 lbs of rotating mass

    Always a plus. Walls are so.........sudden. ;D
  11. Boss 302 Debut at Laguna Seca - First Drive Reviews

Re: Boss 302 Debut at Laguna SecaI beg to differ. LS is far far tighter and “smaller” than VIR and Big Willow (not “Streets”). VIR and Willow are very, very fast with a lot more sweepers. I rarely use 2nd gear at Willow and VIR but I use it all over the place (and 1st once) as LS. And the...
  12. New Wheels for my.....future Boss

At full droop (not that I jump the car a lot ;D) I will have a slight rub on one side (inside) because of the panhard bar. It sounds like I can make some spacers/hub centric rings and move the wheels out just a touch though by the looks of your setup and eliminate that. I am still a smidge...
  13. New Wheels for my.....future Boss

That's the combo I'm going with front and rear. I'm suprised you aren't getting any rubbing out of the rears, which is great! I think I'll have my buddy spin out some spacers for my rears that have real tight hub centric rings (I've got the long ARP studs) built in so I can get the tire to sit...
  14. New Wheels for my.....future Boss

Wow, really? By any chance have any pics? I'm due for a new set of rubber and the R888's in that size is what I was going for (in the rear). Maybe I can split the difference a bit with some spacers.
