  1. Rear Brake Hotspots

For what it’s worth, I run a much more aggressive pad in the rear - G-Loc R12 which is equivalent to Carbotech XP12 and I had not had any issue like that.I did have that exact issue - excess pad deposits - on my fronts when I ran R10s up front the first time. The diagnosis from Danny Puskar...
  2. Advice for Road Course Rims/ Tires

    I’m assuming you meant 305’s. 315’s won’t fit on a 10” rim. Even 305’s are pushing it.
  3. S 197 Mustang Parts For Sale

Which body style/year is the tiger hood from?
  4. Oversteer

No, it won’t. A watts link is not a magic bullet. @blacksheep-1 can show you that the Phoenix drivers are faster with a panhard bar than a watts link, but they are also pro drivers. They’re also running much wider race rubber. While most non-pro drivers typically prefer the watts set up...
  5. K springs

Cool. Again, strongly recommend the relo brackets for the LCAs. They’re not very expensive and your car will not handle/hook up as well as it should without them.
  6. K springs

Hope this works - this should take you right to the last picture in the gallery:https://vorshlag.smugmug.com/Customer-Cars/Ray-Goertz-Mustang-Boss-302/i-r64LSWD/AThis is with the k springs installed. It’s settled a hair since then but barely noticeable so this is pretty much the height...
  7. K springs

I run them on mine - it’s a double duty street/track car. I’d recommend relo brackets for your LCA’s to keep the suspension geometry right, but other than that you shouldn’t need anything.I’m quite happy with mine and don’t think they’re “too low”for the street or anything.
  8. Track experiences with a 295/40 tire?

Sadly, very few 200tw DOT tires come in that size.I'm likely going to stick with the 285's - I think the trade-off is not the worth the small gain of having a slightly taller tire.
  9. Track experiences with a 295/40 tire?

Other than commuting to and from the track they'll be track only. I'm concerned about exactly what you mentioned - that I'll give up more in loss of response than what I'll gain by running a taller tire.
  10. Track experiences with a 295/40 tire?

Anyone here ever track on a 295/40 tire? My R-S3's are done and I was going to replace them with the same size in the new R-S4 version (285/35 18) but I see Hankook offers a 295/40 18 as well. I have the stock 3.73 gears so the extra height would probably be good (they're almost the same as...
  11. Oh, no, not again! Another pad recommendation thread...

I think it's pretty good. They're race pads so they inherently behave a little different than street pads, but I've never had them surprise me on the street by doing something unexpected, and I've never found myself having to alter my driving style on the street. Again, my car is not a daily...
  12. Oh, no, not again! Another pad recommendation thread...

I run the G-Loc R12 compound on the track (Carbotech XP-12 equivalent) and on the street because I'm too lazy to swap them back and forth and my car is not a daily. I drive my car to and from the track which for me involves a 5+ hour freeway trip both ways if I go to Road America.I have never...
  13. Brake pad combinations

I street drive mine on G-Loc R12's front and rear (same as Carbotech XP12) during track season because I'm too lazy to swap them (it's not my daily). They make some noise, but I've had no issues. You should be fine running XP8's on the street.
  14. Bilstein Street Pro Monotube- Any Reviews?

I have them with Ford "K" springs. Car is double duty - street and track. I went straight from stock to the Bil's so can't speak to how they compare to Koni's but they are worlds better than stock. Ride better on the street and are much better on track. No doubt they won't compare to some of...
