  1. "Man Down" - Lost Bosses

Thanks for making my car insurance rates go up.
  2. To TK, or not to TK... that is the question.

I doubt I'll ever track mine....but the changes with key are noticeable (and yes, it's still able to drive in on the street and barnstorm back roads). If you drive with different keys back to back, you'll notice the throttle response to be slower in the black key, almost mushy feeling compared...
  3. Boss on Top Gear

Wish I had Top Gear's budget for tires....
  4. TracKey is here! Those that are installing - please post!

I got mine installed yesterday. Took 2.5 hrs, $420 with tax etc. Only glitch was the dealer finding the right computer to use, they had to try two different ones. Calling ahead and making sure they looked up the recent patch etc also helped.Feels stronger to me, the idle is fun. The warmer...
  5. Daily driver or kept in the garage for the weekend

Garage queen that gets driven as intended when driven. Except today. I think I scared safety patrol at my daughter's school. Couldn't resist a little blip of the throttle.
  6. TracKey Has Arrived - Ford’s Email to All Ford and Lincoln Dealers

I went to my dealer to see if I could have an order placed so it could be installed next week when it ships. First the guy told me "ya know, the car's ECU goes out of transport mode by itself at 25 miles." Then I said, "no, you can program the ECU to run the differently with the red key." He...
  7. MT82 Tech from Grassroots Motorsports

"The problem is I've never owned another car that was like this including other Ford products. It's not the end of the world but it's not right IMO."So far my Boss shifts fine, but I'm pretty easy on it until it's warmed up.Old Ferraris (mine included) typically won't go easily into...
  8. New York Times

This past Sunday (8/7/11) the NY times auto section had a review of the GT in one article, and the Boss in another. Apparently the Boss article was only in the NY area paper edition, but is on the website.this might work...
  9. Your First Boss 302 Mods

First mods I did: remove the 3 Dealer stickers on my car. Seriously, one on the trunk lid, one on the back window, and one on the windshield. And then I removed the fake chrome plastic dealer license plate frame. I saw the car within 3 hrs of it being delivered to the dealer, and they'd...
  10. Kona Blue Boss 302 #1049 Ready for Action

I agree with the speedo being hard to read. Telling 60 from 80 at a glance isn't easy. Seems like a digital speedo in the middle with the analog speedo on the side like Porsche does would have been nice.
  11. Top Gear Magazine

The July issue of Top Gear magazine (got mine at Borders bookstore) has a comparison with the Boss 302, Camaro SS, Corvette Z06 Carbon, and the Dodge something or other. I won't ruin it...but no one here will be disappointed. ;D
  12. Car cover?

Awesome! 3 options for me to check out!
  13. Car cover?

My car was ordered without the car cover. I asked the dealer and was quoted a ridiculous $529 for a cover from Ford. Will a cover for a regular GT fit? I've found a few on line for 2011 GT's that are in the mid $200's. I figure I don't really need the Boss stripe on the car cover. If I...
  14. Auto Transporters

I've had good experience with Fedex/Passport (Passport I believe is a division of Fedex). Shipped my Ferrari from OH to TN (with a Shelby Mustang parked in front of it). This was 4 years ago, I think it was about $700 for that distance. Driver showed up when he was supposed to, took care with...
  15. Boss 302 Review in Wall Street Journal

I think the WSJ comments are valid...the line about boeing controls/breitling guages. It does have a basic interior but some of the best seats anywhere. That said, my Porsches also have grey plastic in the center stack and buttons labelled that don't actually do anything. And for me, some of...
