For sure. It was a trip when my friend and his dad used to track their e30 m3 s at summit point. They were instructors for the BMW car club of America and could drive like no other.ccc

Well, now that I missed out on the 20% sale on Cony's.Maybe I'll go with the bill stein's and the ford racing spring. I need a nice set of eighteen inch , tire and wheel too. Maybe some costs friendly 18x11 if you recommend any ?
Apex are the favorite around here. Forgestar and LMR are decent lower price options.

Koni has pretty good sales a couple times a year if you want to wait for that. I think I got mine during a black Friday sale.

This is a good starting point for comparing spring and sway bar rates. https://trackmustangsonline.com/threads/s197-spring-and-sway-bar-rates.13152/

I haven’t used enough different setups to really be able to give a good comparison type of answer. Personally I used FRPP springs combined with Bilstein sports and vorshlag CC plates for a lot of years on what was very much a dual duty car, and I liked it a lot. The most dramatic improvements imo were from the far better dampers compared to stock, plus of course the cc plates. Camber plates are a game changer on track.

@TeeLew maybe old Porsches? 😊 I agree that all things being equal of course a Porsche or vette is lighter and faster. But all things are rarely equal….. and in my defense, I only said “hassle,” not dominate! @Mad Hatter is my hero when it comes to hassling pcars.
Also was going to upgrade the brakes but was curious if anybody knows anything about this set up?

Friends don't let friends buy Forgestars. I had two different sets (for my Boss LS and then a Focus RS) and bent multiple wheels in a very short amount of time with each set. Too many other great options.

What would you recommend relatively cheap n reliable 18x11? Or 19 i havent decided yet . I like filling up the space in the wheel well with 19

I run 19x11 but 18x11 works well with lots of tire choices .
If you run 11 inch wide wheels then you will need extended wheel studs and a spacer on the front unless you run a different offset but then you can’t rotate the wheels front to back.
Heres a great fitting guide

I have some credit at American muscle that Im anxious to use juust need to find a reasonably priced tire n wheel set up or buy them used online or around town . I live next to summit point so there's lots of people with parts n all for sale. Really stoked to get things set up

Check the forum marketplace https://trackmustangsonline.com/classifieds/categories/mustang-parts-classifieds.1/
There are a number of used wheels for sale. And the S197 and S550 wheels should be interchangeable, so don't let an S550 tag on the ad deter you.
Sweet thanks Dave . Say what do you know about the koni GTD coilovers? They apparently come with camber plates. Their like 2k so about 700 more then ìf I were to buy their shocks n some springs but then camber plate so maybe 500 more but wouldn't they be noticeably different n better on the track?

The Koni GTS? The Koni page says "Full kit, including top mount, ready to install." Note it does not say "adjustable camber plate" - just top mount. It's based on the regular yellow Sport shocks & valving.

Ground Control has something similar, except that you can pick custom spring rates, you can upgrade the valving, and it does come with adjustable camber plates. Few hundred bucks more than the street price of the GTS.
