Crankshaft relearn

Anyone in the San Diego area that can perform a crank relearned none of the shops wanna do it around here because I put in the flywheel and clutch kit myself. Most shops don’t believe it’s necessary so I don’t wanna bother going to those shops. I can pay for the relearn. I just don’t have the equipment to do it myself.

I just got the OBD link today, I went with the wired version so I wouldn’t have any issues with connectivity. Everything went well downloaded what need to be downloaded hooked up my laptop cleared any DTC’s turned back off started it again. Got it up to temperature started the relearn boom done in like five minutes. It took more time to download the stuff to the laptop then It did to actually do the crankshaft relearn “Misfire Monitor Neutral Profile Correction” drove for about an hour raced around a little bit to make sure I hit the RPM ranges and everything and she seems good now.IMG_2633.jpeg

Okay that is the extended license. Licenses are cheap for Forscan. Mine is currently expired. I was not sure if I bought the extended license for the crank relearn or to turn off the tpms.

I told you this would be the place to get you fixed up. Now do the old timers a favor and go introduce yourself. You might even find the old owner to your Boss. This is the resource to get help and learn. Rule 1 don't be a dick. Rule 2 don't like rule 1, go home. :)

Ill be in North County 2nd week of July. You can buy me a few beers a the Cantina or Village Pub in Carlsbad.

You're Welcome

You were right I’m still shocked I was able to plug a laptop into my car and it worked. I used to live in Carlsbad. Only had the car for a couple weeks now, but I cruise around the beach area too with it. I don’t think the previous owners were too kind to it. There’s evidence that it might have had a full respray or at least some bodywork work was done and they sprayed over one of the stripes with clearcoat

You can do this with FORSCAN (FREE) and a cheap OBD2 cable. Did it on mine after the Mcleod install.
