Your best bet is to just copy the basics of the track pack cars then. Get the track pack specific rear springs, handling pack/track pack camber plates or an aftermarket equivalent, move to a square wheel and tire setup with the 315 cup 2's at all...
Guys at Middleton Motorsports are the folks you want to speak with about GT500 track day mods. For rubber I would look at the Hoosier R8. They make a 305 and a 335 in 20" You will get between 10-15 good fast cycles.
Phaser lockout seems to be more popular with the straight line folks. Great for one specific purpose but not great for all.
Not sure what is needed to pass inspection in NJ. Rural Illinois has no inspection requirements so tweaking is a bit... (see full post)
Primarily a track day car...but state inspection legal. I realize a coyote swap is likely over 10k...if you can find a reasonable gen 1. Lots of 4.6 replacements out there. Maybe new/used with phaser lockout, hi press/volume oil pump and baffled... (see full post)
Are you driving to the track on your track day tires? This is why I went to Tractor Supply and built a small tire trailer. It’s really hard to do the arrive and drive thing with the fastest dry grip track tires. Because tires are expensive and... (see full post)
One additional factor is that with wheels, you can ditch your staggered 10/10.5 for 11" all the way around and rotate the tires, perhaps getting another track day or more out of the same set of tires.Goodyear Supercar F1 3R in 305/30R19 are 458...

Currently I'm running Toyo Proxy RR's, 295/30/19 (replaced in 2025 by the Proxy R's) on all 4 corners. The...
Ran my GT over at NJMP Lightning. Ended up getting oil starved coming out of hard left (#7?). Mechanic found a broken piece of timing chain guide in the oil pan. Anyone have this happen? Now I need a new engine. They said they could possibly put...

I believe SR Performance is American Muscle's in-house private label Chinese garbage shocks. As Nancy Reagan said, Just Say No.Koni Sport (aka Yellow) shocks are good for the price. When adjusting, don't leave them at the end of the range or...
It can, in some cases. In others, it just comes across as pissy. What's your issue? A lot of times you'll get good ideas from guys who don't have some crazy resume. For the record, I've raced more cars than you've made shoes smell and I've done...

What ruleset are you working towards? R-tires or 200tw? My build is focused for TT style hot laps (really limited by the tires) but has been reliable, drivable and fast in its mod stages. It is now very capable with basic aero, MCS coilovers...
