It scrapes the parking lot all the time, it's not the flattest parking lot ever built. We run down at the Echo Park Speedway parking lot (formerly Atlanta Speedway) on the south side of town. Unfortunately this is the only area we have to race... (see full post)
I’ve been running the Bob’s kit since 2019. For such a simple concept, it took some trial and error to get it dialed in. The only physical mod I made to eliminate any contact with the axle was to open up the half-moon shaped cut on the one... (see full post)
When you watch Cayman GT4 and 991GT3s walk away on the ups and downshifts, you can understand the need to put the pride away and use the available tech to compete. All the props for those who can do the "heel/toe dance". But I will say this... (see full post)
@Bill Pemberton I am trying out the new Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 V2 by Bridgestone. My tire guy said a few guys have started running them on their street cars and the tires are holding up. For the track, they get a little greasy when they get... (see full post)
I've been watching this thread with interest as to me it appears to be an American thing to use "artificial" heel/toe addons. I've never known they were even a thing till this forum. My guess was the propensity for automatic transmissions and big... (see full post)
Depends on which cam you choose. I just installed the #500 cam which requires springs and limiters. It’s a lot more lift than stock so when Comp says phaser limiters are required I believe them. Sounds nasty see my build thread. I have had it... (see full post)

Spot On @TeeLew ... You're numbers for the rear are extremely close to what I was able to research on the forums, Factory Mach 1 HP rear coil spring rate = 742 #/inch, Front Mach 1 HP coil spring original equipment = 211 #/inch. We had... (see full post)
For reference, I think @cjatrains has a front spring rate of about 310 #/in once all-in with the spring rubber. That probably ramps to 330 or so as it compresses, because that's what spring rubbers do. These are guesses, but it will give an idea... (see full post)
Still prefer heel and toe, it is a tango that has your shifter as your dance partner and I always felt learning it well was what helped me keep my transmissions alive. My Mach 1 had a factory blip shift and I never really cared for it. Yes I am... (see full post)
This refreshed my memory about the issues with the Bob's:https://trackmustangsonline.com/threads/different-differential-reservoir-breather-and-cooler-installations.7851/ (see full post)
Get a fiberglass or CF hood from Chicane23.com ---- amazing how much air they pull through the radiator and how much cooler it helps a s197 run! (see full post)
A lot of us had problems with the Bob's catch can. If I recall (it's been over 10 years), if the car is lowered you will have clanging when the axle compresses into it. Several of us tried adjusting it, bending the bracket, etc and nothing... (see full post)
