Agree with all of the above. A good coilover suspension with stiffer springs and really good dampers will be transformative, especially combined with 305 square setup tires. I think that’s your low hanging fruit if you keep the boss. (see full post)
@GAR944 that's what I thought you meant, i.e. throwing around numbers that only make sense when both people use the same "assumptions".That is why I think it is best to quote the toe-in by angle, and to declare "total toe" (L+R).
Because we all... (see full post)
After Bristol we traveled another 5+ hours west to NCM Motorsport Park in Bowling Green, KY for Summit Racing's Autocross Week! Autocross Week is a competition where we have 4 days of autocross at 3 different venues and we can only drive our... (see full post)
overall you shouldn't overthink your alignment. For me -1.2 mm is almost the same as -0.12 toe. So What metric you use is not that important. Regarding rims sure they do play a role which is why most motorsport alignment is done with rims off... (see full post)
Anyone here have AJ's kit on the car? What is your spring rate and ride height and/or fender/wheel gap for the fronts?Anyone have helper springs with the AJ kit too?Wondering if the car will get lifted with the 400LB front springs - I quite... (see full post)
While I wait around for my shoulder to heal, I’ve been playing with cad. My goal is have a side skirt that covers rear wheel poke, integrates the exhaust exit and better seals the floor. Will pair with wider fenders of course. Starting here... (see full post)
If i say i run 1.2mm toe out, which is a common statement, no one really knows the true value without the other pieces of the puzzle. Where was that 1.2mm measured from. Where if we give and angle, it gives all the information in one package. Its... (see full post)
Hey all, looking at the tires below and if they will fit on the front of a GT350 mounted on Apex 19x11 ET52 wheels with a 25mm spacer. I'm sure they will clear on the rear but not sure about the front. I have run the Pirelli take offs, 315/720...
Agree, glad they figured something out for Sunday. I'm sure it was tough decisions. I was quite impressed with the shocks and suspension. That was the reason for changing to adjustable rear shocks this year. (see full post)
Thanks for the tips! I will defiantly work on being smoother and practicing early entry and on throttle. What is MiDiv? so short answer is no haha. (see full post)
*Also, when I say 'at the rim', it's to differentiate it from 'at the tire center.' If you're really in a pinch, that's how you have to measure it.If you use the angle measurement, then rim size doesn't matter, but you'll sound more 'in the... (see full post)
Your brain is right. If I'm talking about a car on a road course, then assume an 18" wheel. On a 19" wheel, add 10% to the measurement. This is a really good kit for measuring toe. It's much better than plates, because you're keeping a... (see full post)
Hi All.Throwing out my buddys youtube channel and his car stuff here? He works for the Tube but has a cool channel and makes some decent stickers and shirts.Hes a P car guy but and has a survivor 356 thats pretty damn cool...
Read this. You can make it exceed most things if your dedicated enough. Even with a junk yard engine. There are a few fast S197s out there and for handling I believe they have Cortex. While they make great stuff, I suggest you ensure they... (see full post)
Glad you avoided damage at Bristol. We also did, we have the way high ground there and have learned over 15+ years in lincoln and 10+ in Topeka that you never leave a tent up overnight if you want it back in the AM.Bristol is definitely a test... (see full post)
