I share your hypothesis, but, well, every year there will be more, and this thread will still be here to collect responses, reducing the probability of a small sample induced error just a little bit more each time a new S650 hits the track! :) (see full post)
Interesting question. My hypothesis is just there aren't enough S650s being tracked to run into the brake bias issues triggering ice mode.but just speculation on my part (see full post)
I had two separate pull tabs in the previous config. For the carbon door, I plan to do copy this approach except I'll do a black door pull and a red release (see full post)
I did a day at the Ridge track this weekend with the upgraded front pads (GLOC R12) and stock OEM rear pads, and thought it went great. Pedal feel was solid all day, braking was consistent, and I had confidence in braking lap after lap (42 laps... (see full post)
Keeping fuel out of the car is a big benefit for dual use cars. I have a surge tank in my RTR and I need a firewall because if it (and unfortunately Watson quit making them). (see full post)
That's great news. Confirmed FL-820 and a 3V car?I was trying to figure out how the Saleen PJ cars do it but could not find concrete evidence. (see full post)
Oh there is definitely interest from yours truly in the door cards and center console...how are you mounting your door interior handles? Or did you remove them? Need to know what to do with mine as I removed my door cards and hate the ziptie fix. (see full post)
I wasn't aware of ice mode on the car. I can tell you that I've gotten ABS to activate even with the Trofeos, but it isn't as obvious as it was on older cars as the pedal doesn't do the push back you used to get. I've driven an S550 (GT PP) on... (see full post)
IMO - heres my experience prior to the test, Sam Paley is my coach, he has been coaching me in miatas for about a year and a half.. I wouldnt have gotten in the mustangs unless he was confident.the biggest difference was my brakes. because the... (see full post)
Oh, I am definitely not ruling it out. I am just asking, because I do not recall seeing complaints about it. I posted a thread question on this issue only in the S650 Tech subform. I also posted a thread over at mustang7g since that is all... (see full post)
The S650s have more modern ABS and brake-by-wire so pressure in them is managed in a different way than in an S550 cars. Not sure if there is Ice Mode in them as I never driven one on track fast enough to know if it's there or not. But consider... (see full post)
Serious question here - all of the complaints I see are S550 and older cars.Do the S650 cars have the same ICE mode complaints?I haven't experienced it, but my track experience is limited and was on stock pads. I am posting in the S650 tech...
My track time is limited, but I have never encountered it, either. In fact, I could not get my ABS to activate on track. I just stood on the brakes like I was doing a leg press with 800 pounds, and the car just instantly shed speed. It was... (see full post)
Definitely interested to hear what the outcome is on this and what they say the issue is. About how many track events/track hours would you say you've spent with your car?The warranty aspect is something I've been wondering how it would be... (see full post)
When I was talking to Tim at OPMustang about GLoc pads for my car (before I saw how good and how long-lasting these stock pads were) he said the split was to help even out braking, since the rears don't get as hot as quickly and the lower... (see full post)
