Does AiM make an analog flow sensor for fuel? Would like to plumb that into my fuel rail feed to log flow and also calculate remaining fuel. Seems like it would and I have 3 open analog channels available. I know the GT350 CAN protocol I am... (see full post)
Are you using AIM's OBD2 can protocol? S197s (at least 11-14s) have the fuel tank level sensor Left, Right, Total, transmitted via CAN from the cluster for whatever module to use. I'd suggest switching to a mustang can bus protocol to collect... (see full post)
Got my second test piece out of the mold last night and pretty happy with it. Not sure I'll do many chopped fiber pieces - its a good bit of work. Next one will be cleanly cut 2x2 twill. hopefully I can get some seamlesss edges with itThis test... (see full post)
From what I am reading, the OEM tank has two fuel sensors and they read different heights? According to what I read, passenger side reads 1/2 to full and driver reads from 1/2 to empty. Sounds like tapping into the canbus via OBD would be... (see full post)
Just a quick update. Since the engine is out, a new radiator went in. Got some Steeda jacking rails put on, went into the engine assembly room and my rods and pistons are laid out and the crank is in. (see full post)
Makes sense. I assume your MXG is wired to your CAN bus for the rest of stuff like RPM, etc. right? We should be able to pull the fuel level via CAN (see full post)
Hey Chris - i have quite a bit of experience with AIM stuff since my whole car is wired via one of their PDMs. What's your setup? are you using any OEM stuff? or aftermarket sender? (see full post)
I can relate to that. I used to shoot skeet competitively. And as a surviving motorcycle enthusiast I am keenly familiar with the concept of target fixation and how to survive it. (see full post)
I do make an effort to look far enough ahead, don't know if I can claim I am thinking far enough ahead. I think @steveespo nailed part of it when he wrote that I "got greedy" attacking Turn 7. I'm looking up there, but am still committing rookie... (see full post)
I also a fairly high gear, 3.25 (9” rear).
I put these in when I had the supercharger, but I am actually very happy with them since the coyote swap, 86 mph in 2nd, 122 in 3rd and 145 in 4th.Obligatory video:
Here is my fast run from this... (see full post)
positive caster (what most cars have) adds straight line stability and self centering effect of the front wheels. Increasing it can also create a weight jacking effect from the inside front wheel (unloading) to the outside rear wheel (loading) in... (see full post)
positive caster increases negative camber gain during turning. So what it allows us to do is run less static camber when the wheels are straight, increasing stability and braking performance. But once we turn into a corner, the dynamic negative... (see full post)
The gear change was basically for Daytona. Seems to work well at VIR. The cams in the engine are not necessarily, "high rpm" although they carry power all the way to 7700. They make torque as low as 4000. So now 3rd gear goes from 101 mph to 108... (see full post)
Your post is the first mention of caster I have ever seen on this web site. Could you elaborate a little so I can follow along with the reasoning for increasing caster? Thank you in advance. (I know, it sucks to be educating the newbie, but I... (see full post)
Just curious about the gear change. Is that going to reduce lap times, and, if so, how? Also, you installed higher gears with higher rpm cams at the same time, right? Don't cars usually go the other way, higher rpm engine = lower gears, 3.55... (see full post)
