Weight Weeny report.Cast iron rear housing with Torsen diff is 32# heavier than AL rear housing with Trac-Lok diff. It's kind of the worst place to remove weight (low and in the back), and most people want to run the Torsen, but it's a data point.
All good sentiments and though there has not been a bottle in the house for 2-3 months, I decided while replacing groceries for my wife ( no electricity for 3 full days ) that I deserved a celebratory " I survived a Tornado " bottle of cheer! I...
So here's my train of thought:
A flashing CEL occurs when a misfire is occurring that is severe enough to cause damage to the catalytic converters. You should never continue to drive with a flashing CEL if there isn't a trophy on the line.
The...
Appreciate you guys, more than you know, and we got power back on about 30 minutes ago. My wife was screaming words of joy, " We can make coffee, honey I think we will survive !!"
Seeing the extreme damage with 250-300 homes damaged or destroyed...
Well, two hours after getting home on vacation, Liz and I got hit by a tornado but we are doing fine. We got some roof damage, broke the front door, no windows broken, 1/4th of the deck is gone and...............................aargh , my almost...

I don't think so. They technically float about 1in off the floor pan and I've never had an issue with water pooling there - even in some pretty wet conditions. The electronics are also IP water resistant, so should be good. But we'll see
Yep, should have a pretty sizable update coming soon. The car is currently largely stripped down for finish welding. So, even though we are cruising right along it doesn't "look" that much different than our last update. We do have a new build...
Let's talk about OP Mustang and what kind of people Tim and Kelly are.
As many of you know from Facebook posts, I suffered another engine failure due to a secondary cam timing chain failure on the right bank of my engine. This caused piston to...
This car, Celeste, originally belonged to @Vettel-ish (Andy). Build thread of the car before I owned it is located here: https://trackmustangsonline.com/member-cars/celeste.405/Andy put her up for sale in the summer of 2023 to buy a full blown...
You can and my brakes felt fine after, but def best to do an abs bleed after. Good motivation to get Forscan IMO, its so easy to use and opens up a whole new world of possibilities. And for damn near free. Not nearly as difficult to use as I...
HTG Standalone GCU could be worth exploring. They support BMW (Getrag) DCTs and they do say they will support a variety of transmissions. It seems likely the Tremec inputs are reasonably to another dual clutch trans. (see full post)
