Looking for opinions on the best diff for road racing application on a 2018 s550 w/ manual and 3:73 gear set. part numbers would be helpful. Cost is not a concern as racing is expensive lol. Thanks!

probably yes (its a pp1 car). but wondering if there are better units out there like os giken or any of the others. If you have the 3.73 gears, does that mean you already have the Torsen?
I have a Giken in a miata we race now. can only mess it up if you don't know what you are doing (or don't have an engineer who does lol). I have 2 diffs so maybe I will leave the factory torsen in one and do a Giken in the other. The video was a great explanation. With the Torsen, the Torque Bias Ratio is built-in to the design - T2 vs T2R - but there are no clutches that can wear out. The OS-Giken is a clutch-style but has a variety of parts that can be used to tune pre-load, ramp style, and ramp rate. It can work fine off-the-shelf, but to squeeze the most performance out of it you may need to fine-tune it to your application and driving style. Just like adjustable shocks, the more knobs you have, the more ways you can foul it up.WATCH: How the OS Giken Differential Works and How to Tune it! - MotoIQ
In this video we have a torn down OS Giken limited slip differential we’ll be installing into a customer car, but before we do Mike is going to show…motoiq.com
