I can't stop watching. Awesome race, really hoping they get to repeat their win this year. The 2 red headed step children with insane acceleration will be a constant pain i'm afraid....lol

Just tuned in to the live stream, this is great!

Edit: They had a full-course caution and headed back into the pits, looks like bleeding rear brakes after rear axle work :( Back on-track now.

I could hear a loud whine on the dash cam earlier, I don't hear it anymore. What a bummer in such a long race to have that go wrong. They were in first place for a few hours too and looked to have the pit advantage IMO. Hopefully they can make up some laps over the next few hours. Car sounds good now for sure.

OK I used Race Monitor and got it straightened out--they are in 5th overall and 4th in class out of 7, 15 laps down from the leader (I'm sure the rear axle swap had a ton to do with that).

Closest in-class car ahead is 13 laps ahead of them (pointless), but the nearest in-class car behind is 9 laps behind Elgin team (no threat). Race is under caution now so that should be good for fuel mileage, about 22 mins to go. They just need to hold on.

Great driving indeed. I'll bet they would have been in contention for an overall win if it were not for the rearend difficulties. They were running about 10s/lap faster than the two cars in-class ahead of them during the last 30 mins, but the gap was too big to bridge. Still WAY fast.

Yes great result considering the rear end change. They certainly seemed to have pace to win. It was very cool that this was broadcast live and I checked in on it several times today. There were some live feeds of the 25 Hours of Thunderhill last year but the feeds went dead during the race. This technology is amazing considering the minimal resources needed.
