As they should. It was well known Ford has first right of refusal during the first two years. This isn't a family car. Link below has some fantastic photos of the GT.

Not his fault...His brains must have fallen out during one of his wrestling matches.............once that happened someone made him an offer he couldn't refuse..........unless of course this was the diabolical plan from day one. Money is the root of all evil and greed is a close second.

Just to clarify...Wrestling may affect your power to think correctly. That may explain Cena's actions. Too many hits on the canvas may jar the senses.....thinking might be the main one! I'm just glad The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) got out of wrestling before that happened to him. He's doing GREAT in his film making career and my son looks just like him..only a little smaller....but just as tough...

I had an informal tour of the McLaren factory a couple of years ago and the guy that was walking us around said that everyone who bought a McLaren F1 had to agree to allow McLaren to repurchase the car indefinitely. If you, as an owner, did something to damage the McLaren brand, they would exercise their option and retrieve the car and return your money. That's probably why we don't see F1's with lift kits and 27" spinners.

Ford lawyers should have used that agreement as a benchmark for anyone getting a GT...........

IMO he knew exactly what he was doing and Ford should seek damages to protect other owners.
People / Celebrities sometimes think there above the rules. That's why they get themselves in a financial bind or worse.

Can't argue with that. A lawsuit will surly get Cena's attention and maybe bring him a step back to reality?

Attention Everyone!!!!.....I got first dibs on this GT if Ford decides to give this car to one of their loyal customers, if they ever get it back......that's a BIG if...:D

Hey. I like John Cena and he likes a great car when he sees one;)...But messing up with what you agreed to is not right where I come from...let the chips fall where they may!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I watched the vid and that EchoBoost V6 sounds so good! Surpried how good she sounds on urban streets and I suspect it sounds amazing at 7k rpm's.

Totally agree with Ford’s action to enforce the GT Purchase Agreement giving FMC exclusive First Right of Refusal, (FR/R) to repurchase the car.

But . . . I’m curious: Why does Ford use a FR/R? What is the purpose of it and what happens to those GT’s once repurchased? (Maybe a Ford GT Certified Pre-Owned Program?)

Interested in our Member’s thoughts on this.

Perhaps Ford should rethink their sales strategy for their halo car? Looks like ranking eligible buyers on the volume of twitter transactions and/or wiki hits might not produce the right kind of brand “awareness”.

Did Snoop Dogg sell his? Yeah... I know... but it is a funny thought, eh?
