For those who are running a square set up for the track. What sizes are you using with stock style suspension 285 or 295 or even 305 NT01's or Rivals.

Currently i have 305/645/18 R6's but just looking for advice on what tires to look for after these are done.

Thank you

I have 305/35/18 NT01's on the car right now and have a set of 295/30/18 R7s going on this weekend for a NASA event up in Phoenix. They are on 18x10 Team Dynamics wheels.

Awesome thank you.

How about some R7's? Don't forget the Trefeo R in a 295/30/18 which is a bit short but lots of grip. I'm a fan of the NT01's and would run those over Rival's.

Thinking about the 305/660/18 pirellis on my 18x10...would they be a good fit? Want a little more width and height
over current 285/35

Remember, you will have a better contact patch and stiffer sidewall with the 18X11"s running those Pzeros

Gotcha. Thinking that the more sidewall would add to more flex/grip?

The 305 is pinched on the 18x10 which rounds the tire's shoulders and reduces the tread width / contact patch.

Using 295/30-18 Dunlop DZ03 semislicks. got to like the price of the Drifts. Makes you think about buying a second set for some A7's since they are so cheap.

I should have added that I have run 305/660/18 and 305/35/18 on an 18x10 with no issues.

Met you last year at the Glen, think you were running the 305/35 NT01s square!
Would you say that the 305/660 fit better(smaller) than the nittos on 18x10s?
Undecided on the 305/645 or the 305/660 Pirellis

If I remember correctly, they are about the same on width.

The 305/660/18 is about a 1/2" shorter (26 vs 26.42) in diameter compared to the NT01. I think the 645 is too short at 25.4" diameter, mainly because it effectively lowers the overall gear ratio. I believe several of the PWC teams run a 660 in the front and a 680 in the rear.

The OEM 285/35/19 is a 26.9" diameter.

I run the Dunlop SZ03 semis that are only 25.1 tall. Thought it would be a problem at first, but turns out I really like the shorter gearing. Almost never use second now but do use 5th on the longer tracks.

Currently, I run 275/40/18 NT01s with the intent of going wider as I max out my talent at each width. But looking at your first post, you're way ahead of me :p
